Yes, you can use the double e-wrap for both the chain cast on is a bit tighter.

@@HypnoticHysteriaLooming thanks, I'm making them for my husband (camouflage color yarn) using 2, 4 ply yarns. I used the e wrap for the knit stitch, which will fit him perfect. So now I'll use the double e wrap for the thumb as he has fat thumbs😁. They're perfect for hunting as they'll keep his hands warm but still have his fingers out to shoot. Thanks again.❤️
