This has been by far the worse season of MAFS! It seems like just about every couple is on the brink of divorce (if not already). Although I know the experts have a say in who they choose I'm sure the producers have a lot of pull. And every season it becomes more and more obvious that they match people up for drama, which is why I suspect they ignore major differences in religion, politics, family values, etc. I just want a season where the couples actually make it to decision day!

It got to be too cringy watching Becca begging and acting so desperate to have sex with Austin, the limp clown. And Brennen has a ‘Narcissus Complex’ in such a bad way, he’ll be staring at himself in the mirror forever, thinking, “No woman will EVER be good enough for me”. It was kind of creepy how Brendan seemed more into her after this accident. Why does it take her to almost die for this guy to begin to appreciate her? And Orion needs to please go away. He’s very desperate to portray himself in a decent light for the cameras. The irony of it all is if he took some accountability for his behavior, he may gain some points but that’s the last thing he’d do. Seeing him and hearing him speak makes me cringe.

I like the Australian version of MAFS more because it just has a much better structure and it seems like the budget is higher. And when a couple leaves, they add a new couple. But it also feels more fake in a way. But they be goin wild in that version. There's SO much drama. Keeps you watching

The problem is that contestants are starting to realize that the things they say and/or do in these reality shows have social implications. No one wants to be the bad guy because they're afraid America will ostracize them for it. Austin isn't attracted to Becca, but doesn't want to be labeled as someone who is body shaming her. Brenan doesn't like Emily's past, but also doesn't want to be labeled as someone who slut shames. Chloe doesn't like Michael, but doesn't want to be labeled as someone who judges men for their femininity. Orien most likely wasn't attracted to Lauren (maybe because she was black?), but got lucky and found an out when she made an accidentally racist comment.

If you’ve ever been in an emergency room, you know that health is the primary objective. Not shampooing someone’s hair. If someone needs stitches , stitches get done if someone breaks an arm, the bone gets repaired; we don’t also do manicures and pedicures. Once people are patched up and good to go, they’re sent on their merry way to go wash their own hair.

I'm sick of Orion..wish the best for Lauren, kinda miss Cameron, kinda over Clare, never cared for Becca, and losing patience with Austin. Feel terrible for Emily, but Brennon is showing his soft side for cameras only, I believe, because it was expected. I hope Emily gets the support she needs. Chloe is the sweetest girl, and Michael is sweetest too, but they are not a good match.

While Emily isn’t wife material, she has joined Shawniece in the MAFS Hall of Favorites for me. Whatever happens, she keeps on ticking and she’s whine free. As for Austin, men get rejected for sleeping together all the time. I speak for personal experience and comparing notes that men can be ready to cut diamonds and hear, “Well, I don’t think I’m ready.” So, we learn to deal with this rejection. Women are accustomed to saying go and having men start taking their clothes off. There is no possible way a man can decline a woman and be confident it won’t become dramatic. Again, speaking from experience, his man parts and gender preference will be attacked. He will have any physical flaw pointed out, and he will learn about what he can’t handle. Or worse, she will go into a genuine depression, in one case resign her job to avoid him, or start rumors to smudge his reputation. In either case, there’s a high probability that other women will join in, whichever path the woman takes. Austin decided at some point he didn’t want to stay married and he knows if he sleeps with her and says no on decision day that even the alleged relationship experts will pounce. Becca seems like the depression type, but Austin doesn’t want to deal with any of this and is trying to leave without drama. There’s no smoking gun but is there anyone who thinks Emily didn’t get naked on night one? And if she did, that they didn’t get busy? He has a bigger problem because he can’t undo what has been done.

Tamara, You hit the nail on the head regarding Austin and annulment, that's exactly what I thought . If Becca had acted less interested I'm guessing he would have jumped her bones by now but she is on the fringe of, or in deep desperation. Also, this is just my observation regarding comments about Michael on social media, can you imagine for one moment the outrage if anyone would mock, accuse, ridicule a woman of being butch or masculine, if she wore pants? What is this the 50s? Men have been wearing skirts, togas, kilts...for centuries. I could see if he was dressing in drag, wearing lipstick, heels, a tutu..but he was wearing a man skirt one made for a male. Everyone is forgetting that Orion wore one, with fringes, during his ceremonial tribal intro, I suggest folks google it. Men wear skirts on occasion. Specially when they are secure on who they are. I think they paired Chloe with Michael for ratings and I think its wrong . Let miss minimalist find someone else who may not be as kind. If she is not into Michael someone else will be. I think Michael is the only real and genuine husband this season.

I just started watching Married at First Sight Australia and my first thoughts were 1) wow there are a lot of couples to follow since there are 10, 2) I liked how they all did their honeymoons separately, and 3) I liked that they get assigned specific activities early on to start talking. I’m interested in seeing how the experts get more involved since that it is lacking in the US version.

Emily wasn’t dewey eyed she was OxyContin eyes. Her eyes were too puffy. You could tell she was a little spacey and she wanted to go back to the retreat for the camaraderie and I can understand that. Becca, she’ll be coming around the mountain with her six white wolves 🐺 and a lick in the mouth 👄 That will be all she will get it as close as she will get. Brennan and Orion needed a snapback for the remixing and bridge building.

Not sure why you are bashing Emily today. She has no control over getting her bloody hair cleaned up. An injury like that can take a lot of waiting for tests and the MD that will be doing the stitches. She is tuff and was really good… not crying until retelling the story. She couldn’t control the fear and pain she had gone through… and the close call with death! Dang.
