Haven't had as much with the Slater/Dan Mann Firewires as I've had with the Tomos. That quad inside single concave bottom is just magic. Wish they still made the El Tomo Fish through Firewire. Have to order it custom through Tomo now. Still works amazoing, but the construction isn't as indestructible as the LFT or Ibolic. Possibly a bit lighter and springier though.

Just bought the frk swallow I normally ride 22.5 - 23 liters. Ended up getting the 5’6” but sadly the volume is just too much for me which was what I feared. I can tell the board is awesome but just feels like too much board under my feet. Wish FireWire made performance boards in my range but sadly they don’t anymore.

Same for me I've got one in 5' 10 and I should have got the 5'9 very loose in the tail so easy to slide which is kinda fun but can skid out off a bottom turn tho. On my backside I like it more. I actually prefer the sci fi more fun and more drive for me and the places I surf. I will say the boards are strong I did some gnarly take offs over a rock ledge and got axed a few times and the board was sweet so super happy with the strength 💪

Id definitely say do not over size this model its very loose in the frk swallow. Very strong boards tho and good spring wen they get loaded up they spring back fast to.
