Agree seems like a lot of thin fine hair videos actually have normal hair. I feel like they compared it to thick hair and call it thin and fine. It sucks when they pull up one small section and it's the size of my full ponytail. Like I have scalp showing it's a whole different ball game.

I came across the single sided method by accident a year ago and it's a game changer for super fine hair. They are pretty weightless so I haven't noticed damage. We should all feel beautiful with or without but for me my tapes are my crown and make me feel good. Good luck everyone! Xxx

Thank you for this video! I’ve never had tape ins before, but I’ve bought a lot of different extensions from The Hair Shop over the years and I LOVE them. I think I might try some of their skin weft extensions around my face just to see if I like them. I really love their I-tip extensions, but I find those really difficult to do on myself.

Love it! This is how I will install my next couple of tape ins! I have keratin bond but my hairline started thing in from hashimotos and it is very similar yours so not enough to loose any! 😭

Great Video, Also out of all the Removers I've tried,Isopropyl alcohol hands down works extremely well! It's cheap and I just put some in a spray bottle and they come right off,without leaving any glue residue on your hair! I love doing single sided tapes,so much better especially hiding them😊

I agree. I have the one shown, and the glue strip ends up stuck in my hair. I know alcohol is drying, but truly after shedding tears upon tears it is the only thing I use. ♥

I needed to see this because there seemed to be double sided. My hair is a little thin and double always gives me too much bulk. This is such a great idea 💡 👏 This hair color is so beautiful on you and makes your hair look much thicker.

I shaved my head back in April and I like the pixie-ish grow out on me, but I really want some longer pieces on the very top to do like a swoosh thing. I have thin hair and even though shaving my head allowed my hair to come in thicker and stronger, I decided to go platinum lol and sooo i"m damaging it and the growth is sorta slow. Thank you!!!

I loved this! I have the exact same hair type as you and tbh of all of the extensions I’ve tried the tape ins looked the most natural because of how light they were and the flexibility of placement. Over the past year I’ve worn IBE and I don’t think it was the best for hair like ours. There are several reasons but it came down to the fact that they never quite blended as well as the tapes. You need to put several wefts on one row and if you’re sides are thin, like mine, forget it. This is just my experience so take it fwiw😊

@Jenny Mcmuffin I have the same thin hair as well. I've always used clip-ins and years ago sew ins. I gave my hair a rest(other than the bleach which doesn't help 🙄) I've been thinking of tape-ins for a while now. So I guess you would recommend them? Glad you were happy

I just installed mine with single sided tape for the first time and although I feel like I could use a little more volume it is a game changer. They are virtually weight less and so natural looking. My hair was too thin to head sewn ins and sandwiched tape ins so this was the perfect answer for me!

Try a topper..if hair too thin you may need to go wig. There are so many now with natural scalps….no need to go without hair!

This is great! Thanks for sharing! I’m new to tape in extensions, I had 30 sandwiched extensions, way too heavy and bulky, I just removed them with a mixture of 91% isopropyl alcohol and organic coconut oil, worked like a charm! Now my question is, can I use the same extensions but as singles and just purchase the single sided tape?

yes, def. if the hair is in good condition, you can remove the old tape and apply new tape to the extensions. and instead of using a sandwich, use a single sided tape on the other side (of the sandwich). but the actual extension piece of hair has to have the double sided tape on it. hope that makes sense!

I agree. I have a full head of extensions in right now and it’s a lot. I can’t run my hands through my hair like I used to haha. But I wanted to add length so it was necessary. But if you’re just adding volume, a few single sided tape ins are amazing.

That can be said of any type of beauty enhancement (nail extensions, lash extensions etc..) While I agree natural is best, sometimes women want more volume and/or length and methods such as this (if done properly & taken care of properly) can be a good option.

Hey so the tape ins are not single sided. But you buy separate tape that is single sided and use that on the underside instead.

In theory, no. But it is added weight to the hair. You just have to be careful not to tug while brushing and follow proper application, care and removal…

They shouldn’t be that uncomfortable. They might not be installed best or perhaps you have a very sensitive scalp and they might not be for you.

You can. Tape ins aren’t the best method if you wear your hair up a lot. Best method would be IBE extensions or sew in
