Fun knot that looks like 8 strand square sennit but is endless.

This is such a good video. Everything is so clear. Now, I have confidence to attempt my first grommet! I'm a total beginner. Very relaxing music too. I think I could sit under a tree somewhere making grommets in my old age perhaps!

Didn't know it was called a grommet. Found your video and followed you step by step. Now the first grommet runs around the oar I've made. Thank you so much for this tutorial.👏🤜

Was thinking of the Spanish ring knot as I was watching. Love that you don't speak and it's still understandable.

A ring of truth, a circle of life, you weave words of a journeyman for all of us, life takes another turn, just another lesson learned, times fingers bled, yet time harden not the soft creature within the skin, life remains beautiful, for all the knots we tie. Thank you for the inspiration.

AHHHGH ... three attempts, three fails, I can't get my head around this one. As always you make it look so easy. Even as I fail, I enjoy watching you work.

Just get the start right, then you are actually just splicing over two, under two :)

I thought I did get the start right but I ran out of cord on my second circuit. I still had plenty at the other end but couldn't figure out how to do the reverse direction. I know it should be simple but it looked like a mess. I might also try coffee stain as I think i was getting the original strands and the splicing strands confused.

I was finally able to complete one of these after several attempts. It looks deceptively simple. Now I can't stop making them! Awesome video!

It's rare for me to find a knot or tie that I'm unfamiliar with and this one is simply amazing. From the method used to the final result this is a simply phenomenal piece. I've found it works with any equal number of turns on the first pass. When tightened up, it's rock solid and can serve for a multitude of purposes. It's a tool in itself. It took me forever to get the hang of, but once you do it's a breeze. If anyone is having trouble with it, using two colors will help immensely. Thanks so much for this brilliant knot. I've gone through ABOK several times and have never found this one.

mikko snellman You're a true artist. I make a lot of dog collars, leashes, etc., and I can't begin to tell you how many possibilities this knot has provided me. Thanks so much my friend, all of your pieces are awesome.

8 plait is my favorite . I have done it in steel as well. The look of it that is. As a grommet it looks fantastic.I used to wonder if it was possible as single strand . Now I know.

Was impressed! Made twice. Thank you! It seems not "any number of turns" lead to shown result. Both times got Möbius loop.
