I am super jealous! I have been anxiously awaiting this game for over a year now. BTW, you sounded just as giddy as I would be when looking through that deck of cards. I'm such a huge American Revolution buff that I would be drooling over it too. Could that map get any more gorgeous!? It looks like Mr. Buchanan did an incredible job. I really appreciate the research for historical accuracy and the "chrome" that these designers put into these games. Can't wait to get my hands on this, and more importantly I can't wait to see your Nuts & Bolts for this one! Thanks for sharing the excitement of box opening this incredible looking game.

Once again, GMT delivers the goods. Absolutely gorgeous components all wrapped in the incredible playability that is the COIN series of games. There is no other publisher in all of boardgame design & production that gets me as hyped to play & indeed own their games than does GMT! Even with the Canadian dollar hovering around the $0.70 U.S. mark which has curtailed my purchases of a number of games over the last few months, this game is definitely another wallet drainer and one I will happily fork over some cash for. Thanks again for another great unboxing Derek, it is something I truly enjoy & as always, I look forward to your review & possibly a Nuts 'N Bolts segment for this game too!

GMT is definitely the standard by which others are judged, and this one upholds the standard :)

Never played COIN before? I've heard Cuba Libre is a good intro to the system... Smaller, less going on. Recommend you watch my review for Fire in the Lake. I walk through the mechanics. Should help give you a better idea of what COIN entails. It's really not that complicated. Just new concepts you won't find in a typical wargame.

+SingleHandedWarfare Thanks for the advise. I think I should start off on the smaller side. I'm easily intimidated. I will check out those games because I have a $100, that I won last week on a Super Bowl box pool, burning a hole in my pocket. (I really won $200 but I shared it with my wife. Like I told you, I'm easily intimidated.)

LOL! Well, COIN's not for everyone. Definitely do some homework first. That said, Fire in the Lake is simply brilliant, and I feel confident Liberty or Death will be no different.
