When will the walls be going up? It might be a good idea to bring the playpen to the new home site but I'm kind of sad that she wasn't allowed to play in the puddle. When I was growing up we had a dip in the yard that always made a wonderful big puddle when it rained and we had so much fun splashing around in it. Mom just took off the little one's clothes except for the diaper and let them splash all they wanted. Bigger kids wore shorts and top or bathing suit and we splashed along with the babies.

Nothing wrong with playing with dishes but maybe have some plastic ones just for her. Mom had a cupboard with dishes we used but they were also all baby safe and the only door that didn't have safety locks. Babies knew they could play with the dishes in there and got to copy me and mom while we worked in the kitchen. I know many other people who have done similar things. Babies like to imitate bigger people so what is the harm in making it possible?
