Am I the only black person that thinks it’s CRAZY how majority of black people get absolutely enraged at the fact that not all black people are poor and living in poverty? I can’t believe it. I’m not rich at all, I’m barely “middle class” but I’m so tired of other black people calling me boujee, better than, etc. because I know how to carry myself. I shop at goodwill with a vogue magazine putting together outfits. I save coupons and sign up for rewards points at places I frequent to get free things. I travel on a budget which allows me to travel all the time. These things aren’t boujee or “better than” these things are smart! I see it on this show all the time, a black person, usually a put together woman with a good job, comes on who isn’t living in poverty or completely f*cked up announces her standards and there’s an uproar of hate from other black people. Even when her standards are LOW she’s still getting hate. Why? Why are black people addicted to struggle?
