जिस शैला रशीद को हम जानते थे, यह मोहतरमा आज उसके बिल्कुल विपरीत है। सुशांत जी का एक नयी शैला को देश के सामने प्रस्तुत करने के लिए बहुत बहुत आभार। शैला का प्रत्येक विषय पर एक-एक शब्द सत्य, उद्देश्यपूर्ण, सार्थक और साफ दृष्टिकोण को प्रतिबिंबित करता है। हमारे मुख्य मीडिया और सोशल मीडिया को यदि कश्मीरियों और भारत की कोई सहायता करनी है तो उन्हें गड़े हुए मुर्दों और NC-PDP जैसे पुराने नेतत्व को नेपथ्य में छोड़कर नये तथा युवा नेतृत्व को सामने उजागर करना होगा। जब कश्मीर या कश्मीरी से बात हो तो हमेशा आतंकवाद, सेना, बुरहान वाणी, अफजल गुरु, आदि जैसे मुद्दों पर ही चर्चा करना क्यों आवश्यक है, यह समझ से परे है। क्यों हमारा मीडिया केवल वर्तमान और भविष्य के विषयों पर ही फोकस करता ? क्यों कश्मीरियों के पुराने जख्मों को बार-बार कुरेदते रहना जरूरी है? शैला की इस बात से सहमत हूं कि मीडिया केवल श्रीनगर की राजनीति और उन्हीं पुराने चेहरों पर ही फोकस रहता है। क्यों कश्मीर के युवा और उनकी उपलब्धियों को समाज के सामने नहीं लाया जाता? मेरा भाजपा और विशेषकर मोदीजी से निवेदन है कि उन्हें कश्मीर में इस समय चुनाव नहीं करवाना चाहिए था। जिन कश्मीरी नेताओं और प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप वे लगाते रहते हैं, सबसे पहले उनके विरुद्ध कठोरतम कार्यवाही कर उन्हें जेल भेजना चाहिए था। तभी कश्मीर को एक नया साफ-सुथरा नेतृत्व मिलता और चुनाव होते तो सरकार में शैला रशीद जैसे युवाओं की प्रभावशाली भागीदारी होती। वरना अब चुनावों में वही पुराने सड़े-गले चेहरे और मुद्दे हैं और फिर वही भ्रष्ट चेहरों की सरकार बनेगी तथा कश्मीर में वही पुरानी स्थिति बन जाएगी।
