To help this vid resonate with everyone, remember fear is universal. It translate to not only a game but everything else in life. If you live in fear , you cap your own potential. I’m on average in most fps games a 2 kd , high kill , HEAVY LOOT COLLECTOR , “sick clip” getter , try hard , sweat or whatever my friends like to tease me with. Regardless what anyone says , my ego aside and whether I’m playing casual or competitively for the day, getting over the fear of losing anything in life is probably one of the best traits to have. ALSO one of the best ways to have FUN in life. I’m telling you , go on with not the best meta stuff in the game , but go in with the best stuff you have EVERY TIME , you’ll never know what comes out of it. @ You know one big step that helped me , specific to the extraction shooter genre was to surround myself with people with whom already passed the Fear of losing gear threshold. Once I started queuing up with my friends who’ve been around, it’s been more fun, confident and overall enjoyable. This in turn granted me even better Solo runs. In SEA server, it's more like "fear of losing all your stuff to a random Chinese cheater". I swear my squad traveled to Zero Dam Easy, equipped to the teeth with purple gear to do mission, until we saw the Chinese with the Recruit sniper set, who kept jumping and no scope each of us. Imagine losing all of your hard work to a group of cheaters who didn't even give you a chance to fight properly. If I failed against normal high gear player, at least I know it's my own fault.

Exactly, I end up taking everything before it loads then remove some items... Harder when the backpack is almost full. Once someone saved me by killing a guy right next to me I didn't see, I told them over the mic "your kill, your loot" the guy was sooo surprised! I wish that was the norm

THE BEST way of defeating hear fear is tell yourself “I am going to lose this kit so I may as well have fun. I CANNOT keep this kit” going into raid, and repeatedly throughout. Then making it out with the kit is always a pleasant surprise, and losing the gear doesn’t have the sting because you are already accepting it

I’ve finally found a way to make money thanks to your shotgun video. I was hemorrhaging money with randoms just sprinting in and trying to be a decent teammate ending up out of position and immediately someone goes down then you’re screwed. You can’t have gear fear if you don’t have gear;)

I started playing tarkov alone one year ago and it made me realized my gear fear it's not just because of afraid losing money. It's because it's so hard making money while cheaters are around all the time (especially in Asain server). And I carry this thought into Delta Force. Even though I win most of my battles against other players in DF, I still struggle to hit queue from the to time.

As someone with over 1000 hours in solo Tarkov, I've found my first 20 hours of solo Delta Force to be almost unbearable. Almost every aspect of this game is a detriment to solo players. I almost always find myself encountering 3 man teams, but it is hard to avoid them due to the much smaller maps than Tarkov. I find myself in a gunfight often in order to get anything of decent value. Due to the TTK and helmets protecting the ENTIRE head It's impossible to use 3 bullets to kill a 3 man team, you cant fight them head on because they will just out-damage you. Due to operator abilities, they know that you are completely alone, your exact location, and if you try and fight them using guerilla tactics they have infinite healing. Let's say you manage to kill one, they just get revived, maybe you need to heal, well it's a lot harder to hide since you cant heal and go prone. I could go on and on about every way this game is against solo players and it's getting to the point where it has ruined the game for me.

@@lakehelton1337 the ttk in this game when using purple bullets for most weapons in 0.2, with blue it normally 0.2 to 0.4 depending on armor. As a solo, you can 1 v 3 people and have do fine but it’s not as easy as some other extraction games

honestly the point where i lost gear fear, was having a good raid with higher level gear that i would have 100% died in otherwise, it just so happened that i looted a guy with full purple after doing a little bit of leg meta, and as i was putting on the purple helmet he had i got headshot by a sniper and i can only assume they cheaped out and had blue bullets, now im not going to spend ever single bit of money i got just to have gold bullets and armor every game, but i wont hesitate using those armors that take up 12 slots in my stash.

Delta force is, for now, a fun balance. It sucks losing gear, but on the other hand you get a lot free stuff and making money back isnt to hard. Gear tickets are nice to use when you are on a downward spiral of losses.

Gear fear is a main problem with videogames. In general. Because it's so easy to find cheaters or simply be bad at them. This game is unfair. Simply put. You might be coming with full golden gear but your enemy teams carry red bullets and snipers waiting for you. And this happens in many more games, even non-extraction ones, like GTA Online. It also doesn't help this game has a forced trio matchmaking. Solo is quite impossible. People don't want to make this feel like a job. But it IS a job. Harder missions requiring you to shoot above x meters, putting this on X, bringing X to exfil. This is all boring and only the reward feels rewarding (at least for me). And once someone with better luck and better gear, destroys your 3 hours of work, you dont want to play anymore, understandably. This is why COD DMZ failed as a game. EXTRACTION SHOOTERS ARE NOT FOR CASUALS. No matter what they say. No matter what Phixate or ONIC says. Extraction Shooters, in general, are made for you to waste time and grind. They have their own niche fanbase for people who love this! One thing I do hate is that this operations mode has specific time limited missions. This is also a problem with Warfare. People who love warfare should NOT be forced to play Operations because of FOMO and viceversa. But that's how it is right now. I hope PVE extraction comes soon, so everyone can have a fun time regardless.

I played a bit off of tarkov and tried to do go on a budget everytime. Some wipes ended with incredible weapons that i never used because i feared to lose it... Until i was fed up with that and started going in with the better gear i could and incredibly, i survived a lot more with the high end gear then just the budget stuff.

In a way you're right obviously but the real prob of this fear (i mean for me) is cheater . even if it's 10 - 20% of the games i play. That just disgust me. In normal mode + ranked it's quite impossible to not get a cheater (im black hawk lvl 55 not newbie here) , even it's wallhack; sound perception, noclip ghost. I mean if they wanted to do anti cheat, they'll just do it like vanguard with kernel access. But no, not even hardware ban idk it's f2p. they can just re create an account. Sry for my low skills in english.

The way i got rid of my fear: sold everything and jumped into Factory nonstop on tarkov with whatever i could afford. After one wipe of straight factory runs, you lose the fear, or you find the games not for you. For this game Pick the smallest map and do the same for a week or so after you find a good money farm. Should do roughly the same effect.

Been rocking the scar with blue since it will put down purple fast enough. Kept all my purple m80 from quests and use it, But even after extracting for 1.5M going into the next raid rebuying ammo and it being 200-300k feels so bad lol.

Ever since Arena Breakout Infinite came out I started playing it and it really affected my gameplay. "I'm scared of dying and don't want to share my loot" I started camping and it's not fun at all. I know I have to get rid of it to get better at the game. I started small like bringing mid tear gear value and started engaging in fights. I know it's quite frustrating when you die but I always keep in mind that "It's okay! I just need experience and just get gud". Not gonna lie I started losing my gear fear but it's still there till now but lessen. Start bringing low tier gear value then mid and don't be afraid losing as it will also let you grow.

Ive gotten over it by understanding that deaths will happen. It is literally part of the game. And understanding that it is a game. Sure i could avoid every player like the plague and slowly creeps around every map. But as fun as sifting through a lab coat pocket for that 2 mil key card to shove into your case the most memerable moments i have is looting a body that has a bunch of loot on it. And the only way to have those memerable moments is to put gear on the line.

Gear Fear is awsemo, it saved my ass multiple times when i was solo again groups. Don't push if you know enemy is stronger than you, this tip saving me in 80% of battles in operations.

The MOST important thing you are forgetting is "Gameplay" for some gear fear is part of their ideal game and for others gear fear just sucks !! We all have personal preferences for gaming and while gear fear may suit some it most certainly will no suit all. A prime example is gray zone warfare, The gear fear is disliked by so many because they just do not want to play that way and no amount of praising gear fear is going to convince anyone about how good it is !!!!

I don't know what my problem is but everytime I bring lvl 5 gear in I end up dying right away or 1st fight. But I can go in with lvl 3 gear and kill 2 teams and find a bunch of loot

the only gear fear is when casuals have to play against sweats which always results in guaranteed lost fight i think if people went into the game knowing they were facing people of equal skill losing wouldnt hurt at all. Extraction mode needs a working ranked system, casuals will just drop the gamemode once they realise they are just walking pinatas for the regular sweaty gamer. Theres a reason why competitive games like csgo,dota and LoL have ranked brackets. Its just dumb that delta force operations does not.

Great advice. I just played twice and didn't even make it to extract. Luckly the game started me off with money and stuff but im losing my primary weapon every time which is dumb. I still don't even know where to go on map. Can't figure out what meds to use and lots of other stuff. Either way this was great advice and content, thanks. PS only game i ever played was gta v and i wasn't a fighter there.

In Asia, the gear fear mostly comes from the cheaters. There's so many cheaters in Asia, blatant ones even. I believe there's so many because I get teamed up with one, and fight with one in the same match. I am now "rich" because of loot I don't deserve, and when I tried to infil with better gear, I survive in less than 30 seconds because these cheaters want my gear. They ignore you if you have bad gear, and thus survive more. And that's what the extraction shooter devolved into our region: Zero Dam - Easy fest. YES, the cheaters GO HERE. Nobody is queueing Layali Grove, Brakkesh and Space City at all...

Easy to figure out the code, to work out each number, instead of looking for the pattern, just look at the pattern and if it starts with dots, just count the dots and that will be the number, if it starts with - then count the - and add 5, that will be the number

Bro is contributing to the problem by using purple ammo in easy mode dam. Easy dam specifically really needs a gear value limit with a limit to the tier of ammo you can bring.
