oh yeah. definitely.. ambient songs are catching my radar even more lately because of this. you can make an ambient song thats 12 minutes and it still manages to keep listeners interested. listen to "Twangle Frent" by µ-Ziq, "Opium" by Christoph de Babalon and "Come Down to Us" by Burial, if you want a gist of what im talking about, if you have the time 🙂😉

Alright, I have to gush for a bit, this is my absolute favorite song by WF. It’s so unique compared to a lot of his other songs in that it’s constantly evolving. The calm and relaxing beginning just makes it a joy to chill out to, and then it slowly builds you up over six minutes into a groove that’s completely impossible to resist dancing to. That slow buildup into the climax and the winding down of the outro just makes it feel like such a complete and thorough piece of music. All with the highly aquatic theme and ambient sounds sprinkled throughout makes this a song I can listen to any day at any time and it’ll put me in a better mood. Keep doing what you do

This is probably one of the most relatable songs I've heard in 2016, you did very well Christan. I look forward to what you have to offer in 2017. If there's one thing I noticed about this one is that it doesn't seem to be inspired by any of the sega systems by the sound of it, but rather by some of the more modern indie games with a great depth of atmosphere. And hearing it a second time if I heard this in Ratchet and Clank, it wouldn't seem to be out of place. You have improved your skill and production value of your music, at this point, I'd consider you to be one of the great indie composers for standing out of the new grounds.

overall quite a nice song one thing i love is how near the start of the song it doesn't even sound too much like a song because all the seemingly random noises especially at about 2 minutes in which makes the song sound a bit creepy and is what seems to be intended judging by the title. another thing i like is the constant attention to both the background and foreground sounds with one sind being quite firm and powerful and th other having quite stretched out and calming sounds. these two parts are very different and to me feels like the harsh side is trying to persuade the calm side to become more creepy about half way through because i noticed some notes were quite out of place which made the whole section sound wierd but in a satisfying way that can't even begin to explain. i also like how the more harsh part takes over at the second to last part of the song and then suddenly the stretched out notes come back but they sound a lot creepier because of all the background noises and the strange note patterns as it fades out. one thing i don't like about the song is that it is quite repetitive and probably could be shortened to about 6 or 7 minutes which would normally be fine if you weren't trying to go for a track that felt empty and thus a bit creepy but in a way it is still all right as a song with every second full to the brim every second could be quite tiring to listen to for 10 minutes so basically i think there could've been a better concentration of music per second mostly around the 6 minute mark to make it seem more unique and interesting from the other parts of the song. for a track that you seem to have put in a tonne of effort into i feel like it could've been better but that does not make it a bad song at all and i enjoyed it for most of the way through which is very difficult for a song lasting 10 fricking minutes i'll give the song a good 8/10 but if i have to add bonus points for effort then 9/10 because i can see how much thought you put into the song also i know you've read my comments before so i'd try not to take my comments to seriously as you probably know way more about music than i do as i'm only 15 but i only write the comments because i enjoy it, i like finding out what makes a song good or bad and i like to see what you think of my review. thanks for glorious morning 2 by the way i found the original song through age of war when i was younger and when i found the song through geometry dash and found out you made it i was flooded with nostalgia and it became the first song i got nostalgiac over so yeah thanks for that and the same goes for race around the world
@SShrikke2 жыл бұрын
It's meant to be hypnotic so personally I think the length is just more time for your head to wonder around and get immersed in the track. Though it gets tiring after a lot of repetition, the length allows your imagination to pull out more vivid scenes and make a cohesive story with it. If it were condensed to about 6 minutes, the trance would be kinda interrupted by faster transitions and a shorter time to process parts. I don't usually care about repetitive things for extremely long songs bc these are generally made for passive listeners. lul
@theletsplaycurse2 жыл бұрын
@@SShrikke just relistened to the song, I definitely agree with what you said about the repetition, I don’t think I actually properly listened to the entire song when I made that comment so I didn’t get a proper experience of the song and I also don’t think I was old enough to fully appreciate it yet. Going through the song again I like how much I was able to get lost in its mellow tones and use of reverb, it makes you feel like you’re lying in an ocean like the name of the song suggests and it keeps that feeling throughout the whole song however I do still feel like there’s something missing, my guess is that it’s due to the fact it sounds like something you’d find in the soundtrack to a game or movie given the fact that there’s no real focal point for you to hone in on kind of like how the vocal parts are in pop songs since that the part you’re usually paying attention to. In my conclusion, I think the song as a whole should’ve had some sort of melodic sequence or idea that runs throughout the entire song which would allow me to appreciate everything as a whole instead of in separate segments since when listening to the song I can easily make out what the distinct segments of the song are which I think prevented the song from being so engrossing the first time although that could purely be my opinion.
