If I remember correctly: This aircraft carrier was so secret that the American captain wasn’t believed when he claimed to have sunk such a large aircraft carrier.

The naval base name is pronounced "Yo-koos-ka" not as spelled Yokosuka.

Shimnano was cursed because it was meant to be a battleship

Not really, Kaga was the second ship of the Tosa class Battleships that was coverted into an aircraft carrier to take Amagi's place. And Kaga was one of Japan's most decorated strategically important carriers in the Japanese navy even if her original Cv configuration was indeed cursed. Shinano although incomplete when sunk, benefited from late war Japanese carrier design lessons. Such as an armored flight deck, open and closeable hanger deck vents ( a feature that could have saved Taiho from gas fumes that caused her to turn into a gasoline filled air bomb), and Shinano still had the Yamato classes comprehensive watertight compartments in the lower hull.
