I own a 556i that was purchased on the black leather strap. It has found a home worn on an Erica's original nylon and has accompanied me on many treks in and around British Columbia. Wear your 556a in good health and may you enjoy this underrated tool watch as much as I have mine.

Sinn is one of my favourite brands, despite owning a Rolex Submariner 124060, my Sinn 856 S UTC is still my most worn watch after 6 years of ownership and will stay in my collection. My AD recently offered me a new Rolex Explorer 1 in 36mm... l declined as I will be planning to add the 556A soon. You are right about how much nicer the 556 looks in person. When l tried it on, l absolutely love the dimensions, looks in its simplicity and how it wears. It is also a strap monster so will be a perfect addition to my collection.

I've owned one for about a year. At 38.5mm it has perfect proportions. It's a beauty and I won't be parting with it.

I will alwas prefer the A model, not the I. If you wanna have a genuine aviation watch you need to buy that one. There are flight instruments from Sinn exactly designed like the A modell and i love it. I love watches and i love the aviation. Those two themes combined is frankly amazing. The size is perfect, mostly aviation watches are ways to big like >44mm. Have the watch on a green wild boar lether strap and looking forward to get the metal bracelet. Good video, keep on!

Nice Rolex explorer alternative. Agree the clasp needs work, but it’s a strap monster and worthy of adding to anybody’s collection.

Unfortunately I never got the chance to see them in person as I don't think their are any boutiques near me. If you can see them in person I highly recommend it.

All the other reviews I see about this watch show it with a gold tone rotor. This has silver as does mine. Why the difference?

Sinn now uses a rhodium plated rotor instead of the old gold one on their more recent models.
