Ya'll really get off on this. It's funny how everybody else is always going to hell...it's also amusing that there are no Old Testament references in this sermon. Where then is this coming from? Judaism doesn't teach this. It actually teaches the opposite: "Come, let us reason together. Though your sins be as scarlet, they can be white as snow". And "in returning and rest shall be your salvation. In quietness and in trust will be your strength. But you would have none of it". Lastly, "do I delight in the death of sinners? Wouldn't I rather they repent and turn from their ways?" The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is merciful and kind, long-suffering and faithful. I don't know what this is.

Deuteronomy 32:35 that’s the entire verse Edwards explains and implications for all people. Also many allusions about slippery slopes in the psalms. Relisten.
