You never hear the stories of any other minorities who were murdered during the holocaust. All of the other minorities who were killed always gets omitted from documentaries, or they're just left as an afterthought in history books. This Romani story is important and I wish this was longer.

Not true at all. They are almost always mentioned, but numbers wise, none come close to the amount of jews killed. I agree it is good to give the other groups their own stories, though.

@@Vanillevirus The records definitely exist of course, but tragically in 99% of the documentaries out there on the Holocaust, their stories are never told in any meaningful way. They’re just lumped in with other minorities and given a quick mention (if that.)

Hello I am Sinti from Germany. Thank you for the documentary about Sinti people during the Holocaust and talking about transgenerational trauma , many Sinti I know suffer from that including me 😢. Melanie Spitta did as a Sinti Filmmaker an important contribution for the civil rights movement. Without her it would have been not possible to reach such a big audience. În the english speaking world people really don't care about Sinti. DW did again a good job giving us a Voice ❤ thank You or as we Sinti say: Bargrau man

Here in the US, I believe it's not that we don't care, but that our population is unaware of the Sinti in Europe and the challenges they've faced past and presents. In fact, until this video, I was unaware that Roma were known as Sinti, although because of my interest in cultures, history, and current events I knew your people are in every country there. In addition, I understand that you still face discrimination and worse in some countries. Something that I had hoped would've been gone in this century. I do hope progress continues and that we see ignorance and hate lose their voice. 💜🌍

I am English speaking; I care Trying to figure out if that is what my grandma, Great Grandma were, her family came to the US in the late 1800's, my grandma didn't talk about it much or say, but one time she did say her mom and family were Gypsy, not sure about her dad, heard bits and pieces called herself black Dutch, my aunt said they were traveling musicians she had family in Austria, They are all from parts of Germany., my Great Grandfather it says he is from Saarland Germany. Wish I knew more about them.

Define your terms: Palestinian State = A concept which arose in 1987. Gaza = Hamas' campsite since 2006. Gaza is not a Nation, and is not considered part of the area of Palestine. By which standard, there can be no "innocent" people there, if they are members of Hamas ran territory.
