The Sinulog festival is an annual festive celebration in honor of the patron saint of Cebu, Santo Niño (Child Jesus). It's much like people celebrate the birth of Christ every year on Dec. 25th. Note that every lead dancer of a contingent in the parade always carries a statue of the Santo Niño.
