There are many different events, but the festival climaxes in a procession or parade praising the Santo Niño de Cebú, which is the Child Jesus. The procession lasts the whole day. It is also a competition, so the dresses worn and dances performed are extravagant. In the evening or the next day following the procession, people flood the streets for a huge street party.
