Correlating the trigeminal nerve to sinus headaches goes hand in hand with the direct cause of cervicogenic headaches. These type of headaches has been shown through research to resolve from chiropractic adjustments of the cervical spine! Its amazing what they can do. Thanks for the video!

I was advised by my GP to NEVER get a neck adjustment from a chiropractor after a nerve was damaged in my neck as a result of the adjustment. I suffered shock pain when looking up and dizziness for months and therefore could not drive or do much. The neurologist also advised the same. I would steer clear of neck adjustments from my experience.

Amazing breakdown , have never heard a perspective like this and it makes a lot of sense. I’m not a doctor but I have done a lot of research because I’ve had sinus problems for nearly 20 years now. I can definitely see correlations between an over active brain stem and sinus issues. When I get stressed, my sinus issues get worse , or maybe it’s the other way around. I also have bilateral concha bullosas that I really feel are preventing my sinuses from having proper ventilation , also adding to the inflammation and the symptoms it causes. There is interesting research on how the sinuses are one of the main places your body produces Nitric Oxide, the number 1 compound that is responsible to regulate blood pressure and allowing your body to get in a resting state

Hi I’ve been diagnosed with sinusitis about 2 weeks ago and was given amoxicillin to take for about a week. After finishing the medication last week I’m still feeling sinus pressure alongside both of my cheeks as well as these headaches mainly on the left side of my head. I also haven’t been sleeping due to my airway being blocked due to my nose being inflamed.

Finally an explanation as to why after a severe whiplash injury, I now have what I thought where sinus headaches, that are brought on by dust pollen, scents of a strong nature. I believe I have a sensitive brain stem. So what is the treatment going forward? Does the brain stem lose this sensitivity after therapy?

Thanks for your question @c di. Provided that any other underlying conditions have been rules out, you can start treatment with a headache clinician who can assess and treat the first three vertebrae in your neck. The treatment indeed does help reduce the sensitivity of the brainstem which can help reduce and hopefully eliminate symptoms.

See a good chiropracter for the vertebrae . will def relive symptoms , plus stretch lower limbs , pelvis area , it's all linked

Chiropractors are good for temporary relief of the symptoms! I know many good ones. Normally people see us for longer lasting relief. But sometimes patients just need a bit of a break, and chiropractors can provide that very well 👍

I feel pain around my nose and cheek on left side of face whenever i eat certain foods. This also gets worse during my menstrual cycle. I don’t have typical allergy symptoms like itching, blocked nose, congestion, mucus inside nose etc. I just feel pain and pressure around nose and cheek and sometimes behind my eye on one side of my face. Is it due to allergies or migraine? I got RAST and celiac sensitivity tests done but both came negative. They tested lot of pollens as well in my blood but nothing came positive. Don’t know what’s wrong? Should I consider it as facial migrane triggered by certain foods or just food allergies?
@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain38632 жыл бұрын
Hi Jash, thanks very much for your comment. It sounds like you have been doing a great job to investigate whether there are any underlying conditions. It sounds like you could be experiencing symptoms of a migraine. Certain foods or allergens can indeed trigger such symptoms but the root cause is because of changes in the first three vertebrae of your neck. You may benefit from having these upper 3 segments of your neck assessment by a headache or migraine clinician, provided that there are no other underlying causes of your symptoms.

Can chocolate ,vine and cheese worsen these issues ,I am sensitive to histamine so I noticed I feel worse consuming those foods and I am EXTREMELY allergic to dust ,it literally makes me wake up in pain and pressure ,I noticed especially after cleaning it's the worst
@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain38632 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for your question @Србомбоница. Yes, food and drinks like chocolate, wine and cheese can worsen these issues if you're brainstem has become sensitized or overactive. Once your brainstem is desensitized, we find that people are able to consume these times of food/drinks with only mild reproduction of symptoms or in some cases even no reproduction of symptoms.

Can these be symptoms of that "back of the head" weakness yo u described?
@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain38633 жыл бұрын
Hi Rafael, yes they definitely can. Without doing an in depth investigation, I would be very curious to assess your C0/1 joints that overlie the brainstem, as I would almost guarantee they would be the source of your headaches. If you feel that it is affecting your life, I would advise getting your upper three cervical vertebrae assessed by a headache clinician. Best of luck!

Is it still a sinus headache if I get them when the air pressure changes? I noticed that I get debilitating headaches whenever storm clouds roll in. It happens even when I'm indoors and didn't know/couldn't see the storm coming. So it can't be dust or pollen causing it.
@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain38633 жыл бұрын
Very close Cheezinator - these are referred to as Barometric Pressure Headaches. When you get these headaches, do you normally feel them in the front of your face? Here in Brisbane we've had some big storms in the last week, I hope you haven't been too affected!
@Cheezitnator3 жыл бұрын
@@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain3863 They are in front of my face. Like a vise squeezing my sinus points. It hurts so bad sometimes I just can't function. The freezing air conditioning in my workspace just makes it hurt worse. Luckily, I'm currently in the middle east so rain is pretty rare, but my actual home is in Florida so it's a regular thing. It didn't used to be this bad of a reaction. The worst one I had was when a huge storm was rolling in very slowly all day. It was so bad my vision was affected. I had a kaleidoscope effect at the edges of my vision and my left hand went numb. It went away, but at the advice of the nurse hotline I went in for a CT scan. They didn't find anything. My primary care doctor didn't seem to be concerned about it at all or willing to do anything about it except prescribe allergy medicine. I don't like taking that stuff, it dries me out too much. I hate military medical, but I don't have a choice.
