Just folks out for a casual night at a nightclub. There's Siouxsie in her prime and the band are on fire. Oh, what a lovely night we had darling. Can you imagine seeing this 40 years ago? Such well preserved film. Thank you for posting!

Yes, SATB in their prime. I had a poster from this era I still wish i had. Siouxsie had a cane with a skull on it because i think she hurt her ankle or foot. God i wish i still had that

How in god's name did he not go on to have a career like Robert Smith? Or any of his contemporaries! He could've knocked most of 'em into a cocked hat and yet he's almost completely forgotten. He is utterly mesmerizing here and on the records. These are not easy songs to cop playing live. Maybe Sioux put some voodoo hex on him... Confused af 🤥
@Albrecht7775 ай бұрын
@@jeffreylebowski519 I agree. He came from relative obscurity (Clock DVA - no offence meant to them) and set the Banshees alight with his playing on my favourite LP of theirs alongside "Juju", namely "Tinderbox". After his departure from the band, to all intents and purposes, he disappeared. I can only assume that he may well belong to those musicians who are excellent performers, but not amazing composers without the right collaborators to work with. Should I err in this, then it really is criminal that his career did not go stratospheric.

:( I noticed also . Nina Hagen really lost hers, but her new albums have still been cool. I hope Siouxsie comes back to Atlanta , I missed her in 2004 just down the road from me 😞.

Great show, the only thing that would have made it even more perfect would've been if they played the version of Overground with the strings, the one on The Thorn which is the ep that was out right around the filming of this short live show. Gotta admit though, it's a bit strange seeing nothing but older people in the audience, sitting at dining type tables clapping in such a subdued and polite manner, INSTEAD of punks, & goths or whatever lmao..a bit surreal that part haha
