I saw Siouxsie in at the tower theater in philly back in 91. A bouncer was a little too rough with some peeps in the front row. She stopped the show and threatened to jump down and kick the security guys ass. No exaggeration. All time favorite artist for both her style and substance.

I wanted to share this with a young lady that doesn't know how important this band is ! Siouxsie , Budgie and the many members of the Banshees, (Robert Smith of the Cure inluded) Gave us a band that was unlike the Sex Pistols and quite unique and still considered punk when it first came out!
@luismarioguerrerosanchez47473 жыл бұрын
There first few songs were straight up punk: Hong Kong Garden, Love in a Void, Jigsaw Feeling, their cover of Helter Skelter. But even from their debut they started experimenting with more complex structures like Switch and by the time Kaleidoscope came along, they had distanced themselves from the strictly punk sound.

I don't understand why people are saying "music today sucks!!" That's not true at all. Keep looking--you WILL find something you like. Siouxsie & the Banshees didn't sound like ANYONE from their own era; you can make comparisons to The Cure, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, etc.. but at the end of the day, Siouxsie, and ESPECIALLY a song like this, is BEYOND time period. No music, from before Siouxsie or after, will ever sound like this.

There were three of us and then after one year we changed the name - well, just one letter actually, to The Kojak Whores, in tribute to Telly Savalas who had just died in 1994. Anyway, SATB remain probably my all time favourite group, ever. ...... Their albums and singles are ALL fantastic, wish they were given more recognition even after all this time.
