I remember this video quite fondly! It is one of my favorite interviews with Siouxsie as I saw them on the Hyaena Tour here in the States. Thank you for posting this!

It tore my heart when she almost cryed when she spoke bout emotion! She seemed to swallow the deepest and bitterest weep! I wanted so bad to know why she was so sad! I wanted to hold her... To warm her...

Theres a video interview on here somewhere I watched and Siouxsie is asked about her future (1984) interview. She says she wants to get married and have children but she doesn't think anyone would Marry her. 😢 Breaks your heart. Ok eventually Budgie and her married but they didnt have children. They spoke about adopting then In 2006 they divorced and he did have children with his next wife but Siouxsie never did.

Robert Smith quit because he was overworked in being in multiple groups at once (The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Glove). His doctor wrote him a note regarding he should rest up, which Smith in turn then gave to The Banshees. Siouxsie was outraged by Smith's decision to leave The Banshees, but bassist Steve Severin (who also played with Smith in The Glove) understood the reason why. During the whole time he'd contributed to the Hyaena album in 1983-84, Smith also recorded several Cure singles ("The Walk" and "The Love Cats" -- which later appeared on Japanese Whispers) and an album, The Top. He and Steve Severin also formed The Glove, releasing one album, Blue Sunshine.

I lived at the other end of the country in Shetland and there was a great alternative scene. Lots of cool gothic types punks. Our band tried quite successfully to create flange / delay pedal driven hard edged stuff influenced by Siouxsie, The Cure, Bauhaus, Pistols, Killing Joke. Yeah those were the days miss it 😢
