Hi Chelsea! How are you? I’m watching another of your videos. You show every item inside the kit; explaining the sizes which is very helpful compared to the photos listed by the company. Also telling your viewers about additional things you’ll need which is useful for nail prep! Always going back to the instructions. Is very important to follow! Ha. Modelones is the first kit I’ve tried and I am very happy with it. They have a fine pink glitter that is just beautiful, no problem with it and I used a pink and a natural color and did an ombré that I love.

I bought 2 different kits by modelones on Amazon, both for $20 or under... They came with the same size liquids (10ml each), a small file, a long but small brush (I use it for ombres), 2 extra brushes & 20 different colors each! I wish they came with more liquids though because one bottle of each will never be even close to enough for all the powders ... I've done 4-5 Manis, a pedi & swatched all 40 colors (3x each) & was pretty much out of the base from 1 kit. The only things I can really complain about is the liquids tend to give off a VERY strong smell, the base smells much like super glue & the colors were not all accurate to what the pictures showed (the first kit was more accurate but did have 4-5 colors that were not at all what they were shown to be {greens & blues that were much different than shown, more teal which I love, but it was mostly a teal & purple kit so I would've liked the greens to be green & blues to be blue). The 2nd kit was incredibly inaccurate on the colors, I would say only 4-5 looked similar to the pictures. Also, the glitters often have a LOT of clear mixed into them so are not as glittery as I'd like ... Sometimes you'll get a glitter with a matching color in the powder that is AMAZING, but it's pretty rare. Other than those issues, I absolutely LOVE the powders. They are fairly small but a little goes a long way with dip powder & you really cannot beat the price. Instead of buying a new set of liquids for $15-$20, I just buy a new kit with 12-20 colors & liquids included.... It's a great deal & soooo easy. I tried polygel, acrylic & builder gel & polygel was ok but hit or miss for me, when applying. I'm not coordinated enough to do acrylic or builder gel on myself, especially w/my non-dominant hand. Overall, I highly recommend these kits! 😀

Hi Chelsea - I've been following your channel for sometime, but missed this one. I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of all Modelones products and in fact, they're all I use. I don't use the dip liquids, but I do use the gel base and top coat for all my manis. I love their dip powders but, their acrylic powders are a dream too. I'm a license manicurist I'm glad I watched this video before buying the kit. I've tried other brands of dipping powder and this is the best review /explanation step by step video I've watched. I will try it. I've tried Modelones gel polish and poly gel and I like their gel polish but not polygel. I bought a whole bunch of acrylic nail supplies from a nail tech who was downsizing and I got this exact kit same colours too which I love I love the greys BUT and it's a big but I hate the dipping process so fingers x I can use this with monomer as it's only more finely milled acrylic powder with pigment in it... Otherwise they probably won't get used so I guess I'm going to be experimenting 😊 lovely look you got from them though 💅

The clear is to be used as a protective barrier. So if you use a darker color it doesn't stain the natural nail.

Do you find that the liquids are as long-lasting at keeping dips on as kiara sky? I have trouble with the kiara sky base bottles, I've even broken one trying to open it and was just using my hands, the neck shattered, so I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative to that liquid since I've never been able to finish a bottle.

Peel base is for easy pop off removal. So I apply it underneath my dip powder so it pops off within 1-3 days (due to my filming schedule). If you want your manis to last, absolutely skip it and prep for longevity! It’s totally optional. I like it because it saves me from having to soak my dip powder off ☺️

UNT peel base is so that I don't have to soak my nails in acetone and can just "pop" them off. They usually pop off anywhere from 1 day - 5 days. I change my nails really often to its nice to not have to use acetone. Hope this helps!

Hey love! So that’s definitely one way to go about it. I personally don’t like to do clear first because I don’t plan to file down to fill. It also adds more bulk and I like mine on the thinner side 🥰 but it’s a wonderful method if you want more strength or to file off color to refill 💕

I loved the colors in the kit I got it pink and neutrals with some glitters but I still have so much trouble getting the powders to set with activation! I’ve tried their liquids and others and it never sets properly. It’s like gooey and won’t dry for me to file without ruining my manicure. I’ve never had any issues before with other powders I’m not sure why it wasn’t working out for me :(

I honestly couldn’t even buff it. It wouldn’t harden it was like gel textured and would just peel right off. I have no idea why but I’ve tried multiple times to use them and nothing works. Maybe I got a bad batch

Hi love! I haven't had any issues with this brands as far as longevity or performance. It all comes down to application! As long as your nail tech does enough layers to give your nails strength, there shouldn't be any cracks or breaks. And for longevity, that is all based on her prep work. So if she pushes back your cuticles, buffs the surface of the nail and applies a dehydrator, they should stay on really well! Good luck, can't wait to hear what you think!

I’m so sorry to leave this comment, I thought your video was nice! It’s more of a product concern and how can you have such a different result than me. I am totally feeling the vibe of “sip and dip”, I’m all set there. My problem is the top coat. It will not dry. I waited 60 seconds and applied the first second coat. Waited another 60 seconds...they were still tacky! Which streaked and I applied another coat to save my nails! I’m about 10 more minutes in and they are still not dry. I know you followed the directions and I followed them too and your video (which I found very helpful) ....just questioning the top coat - did you have any problems?

J and K I am so sorry to hear you had so much trouble with your top coat! So what’s interesting is I’d say 98% of the dip companies I try/review have these steps powder, activate, file/buff, activate, then top. A very small percent have the no 2nd activator step. I’ve seen others from another company with similar steps encounter this issue. If you’re up to it, you could absolutely file off the top coat and try 1. Layer of activator (let dry for a few min) 2. Rub a clean with a dry napkin over top of the nails to make sure there’s no activator left, 3. Top coat (Let dry) 4. 2nd top coat If you have a swatch stick or even a plastic spoon, you could try out the steps I just mentioned to see if it helps! Basically, rather than skipping the 2nd activator, try adding it! If this doesn’t help I would absolutely reach out to the company and let them know about your issues 💕 hope this helps!

Absolutely!! So after you file/buff the dip powder, do gel base (cure 60 sec); then your gel polish (cure for 60 sec); then gel top coat (cure 60 sec)! Hope this helps! 💕

Absolutely!! I have found that certain brands do require to do base gel after filing/buffing. Gel needs to have a rough surface to grab onto. So after you file/buff, add a base gel, cure 60 sec and then gel top coat. When I use VIVIDip gels I don’t find it necessary. But when I use beetles I had really bad peeling so I make sure to do it when I use theirs. 💕

Hi there! 💖 So sorry to hear about the cracking! Cracking can sometimes mean we need a little bit more strength. I would suggest trying to add more layers where you’re experiencing the cracking. Jocelyne Inestroza hi love! So unfortunately, that is sort of the “norm” for dip powder base liquids. Some brands are stronger than others and some people are more sensitive to it than others. I actually will be uploading a video on Friday on the “gel method” with dip powder. Gel liquids do not have a harsh smell so that may be a better option for you if the smell is overwhelming 💕 hope this helps!

Stephanie Renteria totally give major credit to 2 things! 1. Dip powder 🙌🏼 it gives them the strength so they don’t crack while they grow. I try my best to always have dip powder on them so they don’t break 2. Cuticle oil 🥥 it’s a must! It keeps my nails and skin moisturized and not brittle 💕

@@christilee6517 quality wise I would go with azure! You’ll get full size durable bottles too. Longevity comes down to proper prep and enough layers for strength. Once you nail that, it’ll last weeks regardless 🫶🏻

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that! 🫶🏻 I like to give mine a stir with a toothpick to make them fluffy. If you find that they’re still gritty after that then it could be the powders! I would totally reach out to the company to inquire and send pics 💗

Anyone who has ordered from Azure or Modelones that can give me some peace of mind just ordered $80.00 worth of dip powders and after reading their instagram comments I’m a little worried! Did yours come on time anyone scammed out of money? 🤔 (I bought directly from the website not amazon)

Dont buy this kit. Modelones uses MMA in their base and their top coat which is illegal.
