@@spacemaria_ It's a funny mistake to make :) it's a very formal way of saying it but technically correct, I think. It's just funny phrasing that you don't hear from native speakers very often. It could also be referring to Sips himself being delivered rather than delivering the line he used, which is a more frequent use case, and part of what makes it funny. (Sorry I know you didn't ask for an English lesson, thought you might find it interesting!)

I was fully expecting it to be like when Pyrion retold the story of his daughter saying bad words. "Well what's the C-Word? And she kinda looked left and right before timidly whispering - Crap." But this was so much better.

The brawls were brutal, probably with some spills of blood. But yeah, they all end with an apology :D Canadians are that breed that are very brutal, but also polite about it.

@@murphy7801 I was joking by using the fact how fearsome Canadian soldiers were during WW2 + their politeness. It's kinda of a meme on the internet that Canadians are very polite and nice people, but you should not get on their bad side.

@@inspector_beyond I have never even heard of Canadian fierceness in WW2 and I enjoy studying history especially in the European theatre. Have ever considered that maybe this isn't a view shared outside of Canada? In ww2 if looking for a group people who went all in to point it's kinda terrifying. The Polish. They were out for real revenge. Littérally so many incidents of doing utter insanity. Also I don't think Canadian stereotypes are so much what you would think in other European nations. I mean french for example think you all can't speak french properly and your a bit stupid.

A well placed F or C bomb is actually a lot less harmful than bullying someone about their appearance, even if the language is technically a lot less offensive.

Man toughen up I myself was bullied most of my schooling days for multiple reason looks, social awkwardness, no friends. It’s character building use it to make yourself a better person stop giving kids an out by saying it’s okay to be fat or weird reinforce them with the fact people are gonna beat them down throughout there whole life and encourage them to keep getting back up and eventually they’ll decide hey IM not okay with being fat or weird or whatever or they’ll go I don’t care I am what I am so who cares what people say about me.

_Some_ degree of separating art from artist is necessary to fully appreciate the art. Unless a view or belief held by the artist is clearly influencing a work, it's not relevant to that work.

i cant get my head around P-flax's politics lol. On one hand he's against censoring books that use words like fat and ugly, but in the same breath says he thinks banning books from children because of the author's social and political views is a good thing?
@NomadSoul76
@NomadSoul76 Жыл бұрын
I think the word fat is less serious than the anti-Semitism. I do think it's interesting that you try to deflect from that by calling it a social or political view instead of what it is, racism. I mean yes, racism can get political, but at its heart it's just plain old racism.
@phantomfire5013

In this case, he's pointing out the hypocrisy of giving out an antisemitic bloke's books to children, but censoring fat and ugly as negative traits because you don't want kids to get the wrong idea. I'd imagine his opinion is don't censor at all, but if you're going to anyway, drop the double standard and stop producing the books entirely

I feel like pyrion needs to work on his delivery. Any thought value from his separation of art and artist mini rant is so pig headed and ignores any nuance in why anyone is talking about it, no one wants rampant censorship but on Twitter/sociao media where this conversation mainly happens it's being brought up because artist like Kanye west who make the gate way drug of nazism in music get massive algorithm support from these sites, when people spread awareness about climate change, or what's happening in Palestine are being actively censored while people who are only contributing to making this world a worse place are still put on a pedestal
