Watched your vids in the past. Sub'd tonight. Didn't realize you and Jaxx had Sipsey uploads. Heading there Wed-Fri or Sat on a similar path. Thanks to both of you.

Just subbed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing what your channel is all about. I did the Sipsey Wilderness a few months ago, myself. I did a 3 day 2 niter. Starting at the Sipsey trail head to 209, to 204B, to 224, off to 200, and back to the Sipsey Trail head. Enjoyed watching your video. Brought back some good memories. I only fell twice, lol. -ATB Adam

Great video! Thanks for posting. Just got back from Sipsey last weekend. Took 201-209-202 and went the extra distance to see Fall Creek Falls. Would definitely like to take the trek sometime.

Did yall have to hang the food or bear canister?
@alanmartin43816 жыл бұрын
Lizet Cisneros I’m wondering this too
@josephbyron376 жыл бұрын
I would hang your food as there is a large population of feral hogs in the area. No bears so the canister is not needed

Pigs may be an issue but I’ve been hiking the Sipsey for 25 years and haven’t hung food once. No problem yet.

Dilute tea tree oil and lightly spray it on your shoes and socks and the base of your tent. if you take a dog, it's safe to spray on their feet and legs to prevent ticks from crawling up. I hike bankhead all the time and use this. I've found on average less than one tick on me per trip.

Also download The Avenza Maps app. They have a lot of free maps that are GPS enabled as well as some you have to buy. I have two free ones of the Sipsey. Love ‘em.

Weather/ trail conditions look very similar to March 2019. I posted my trip. Go to my channel to see.

Probably not the best method but I just take the boots off to cross water.
