I loved this so bought James' audible book which is even better. It's so nice to hear an inventor in his own words share how things are created. It's also useful to understand the pattern that is similar to Musk's biography: The cult will harness every resource it has to dismiss, ignore, violate and dissuade all healthy innovation and change as long as it possibly can. Then it will slander and envy success. If a creator has the time, money and energy to overcome these chronic obstacles then it will be finally rewarded. I feel for Musk and Dyson and every innovator: it's hard to maintain the true spirit of generosity and service, knowing that the very people one is trying to help are set up to sabotage the ventures that would help them. It is a remarkable testament to our human spirit that kindness and generosity remains after so much human energy is wasted on the rocks of ignorance, jealousy and self-hatred, directed at our brightest people.

Blame appears to have become more fashionable than praise …. Well done Sir James , your a credit to the country, and your family.

He advised English people to vote for Brexit arguing for something called “global Britain” whatever that is (they still can’t figure out what it means) then after the vote moved his business to Singapore… People listened to him because they believed he knew best, but Brexit is a disaster that never ends. So be wary of which advice you take from him.

I can forgive most of it, we all make mistakes. The thing I find unforgiveable is that Dyson (like many others) refused to condemn those on Leave side who resorted to racism. (Eg the Breaking Point poster). They didn't even need to disavow Brexit, just to say that Farage's poster was unnacceptable and didn't represent them.

He moved his business to a location that offered support, rapid permits and masses of skilled labor. Why not earn the location of businesses. No country is entitled to treat people badly and keep them because of birth. Read his book and thank him for spending any time in the UK - one of the worst places to start and grow a major business. If you got your act together and welcomed growth and business you would not have to ask entrepreneurs - they would flock to the UK from around the world.

Dyson products are totally overrated and overpriced. As such, the brand is a major scam.

@@danerose575: Quality? 😂😂😂 If Dyson products actually had good quality and performance, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy. Experience with several friends‘ Dyson products has however been underwhelming, to say the least. I gladly pay premium prices for good items, but not for hyped and overrated „lifestyle“ garbage.
@danerose5753 жыл бұрын
@@ewilloch That's fine. However, there's nothing stopping you or anyone else from doing a better version of any Dyson product. If you have time to criticize Dyson, who has done more for England and innovation than you or I, then you have time to improve something. He started with nothing and has done a lot. What are you doing that sets out to be 300% better than the status quo? If you are as innovative as Dyson I'm interested in what it is. If not, go do something. I don't think one person in the comments section has done even 1/1000th of what Dyson has done. How can they when their priority is to criticize an entrepreneurial inventor over inventing something themselves in an environment when even when they succeed the world is filled with critics with double standards they don't hold themselves to?
@ewilloch3 жыл бұрын
@@danerose575: Dyson is a snake oil salesman, and people who earn their money so easily that paying overprices for mediocre items feels just fine as long as it‘s a lifestyle brand, are flocking to buy. It‘s Dyson‘s skills as a snake oil salesman and total lack of morale and integrity that has made him rich and the brand a success, not performance, quality and value for money.
