Sir Nigel Gresley Rolls Calmly into Chaotic Carlisle!

It was a very windy day in Carlisle.
The West Coast Main Line was in chaos following an fatality in the Watford area early in the morning followed by OLE problems at Hest Bank. Together these were causing delays of over 2 hours for both Avanti and TransPennine Express trains, especially northbound.
It was therefore great to see 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley and the Settle & Carlisle Fellsman sail gracefully into Carlisle from the S&C on time!
It was moved out to Upperby for servicing promptly and returned without issue.
Later, on time, it rolled out of the station and off to the S&C en route to Chester and Carlisle.
A beautiful locomotive!
My focus then turned to the delays on the WCML. The delays were incredible on northbound trains. Over 2 hours! They eventually came through one after the other with only one terminated to allow an on time southbound later on.
We also see a pair of Class 769s on test from Brodie Engineering at Kilmarnock, Mail Trains, Nuclear Flasks as well as intermodals, Engineer's trains and the log train.
