Sicuramente pesa l'assenza di Oleh Plotnyc'kyj. In ogni caso il primo posto nel girone era in cassaforte, resta comunque evidente che Perugia non stia giocando al suo standard. Probabilmente si tratta di un periodo di sovraccarico. Forza Perugia, l'obbiettivo è la medaglia oro, rimettere la marcia e via!

This is a clear example how in a sport a much better team can lose to much weaker one especially considering the 2nd and 3rd set and that they had the lead in the 4th.It's never good to lose focus but sometimes it happens when you've won the sets with a big points gap and you think the match is over,unfortunately.I'll come back to confirm this after the 3:0/3:1 at worst possible occasion when the two teams meet again with Perugia being a host

Perugia is still struggling to find his rythm back with Oleh's injury. But this match has really shown their strengh and weaknesses. Semeniuk and Ben Tara where the leader for the team. And when they started to struggle in the 4th set perugia collapsed. Giannelli seems inconsistant and probably needs a bit of rest. Im a bit disapointed by Ishikawa and Collacci's receive in this match but Ankara served well and Perugia didn't get much opportunity to play middle in the match. Well played Ankara, never been a big fan of Leal because he is a weak receiver and that forces team to rely a lot on the outside. But it fits well with Sotola's efficency and Ma'a uses them well !

Another heartbreak for Perugia fans after not making it to the finals of DelMonte Cup now this CEV and you have high expectations as they have zero losses in the preliminary but now struggling. Does this mean that Perugia cannot win a championship without Plotnysky? Do you think that overated Ishikawa can't match or replace Wilfredo Leon achievements in Perugia?

First of all, Perugia won the final of the SuperCopa last season without Plotniskyi,who was injured, being replaced by Yuki, who also became the MVP of the match. Second, this game changed when Yuki was benched, because Yuki had cramps and thigh injury. And last but not least, the whole team is super tired after exhausting schedule in the CL, SuperLeague and CopaItalia. You cannot blame only one player, it's a teamsport
