A cheeky Irishman with a lovely, gentle nature. I know 77 isn't exactly young but he should have had a good few years in him yet. I will miss him dearly. RIP Sir Terry.

@Ashley Cook I did meet him actually! He came to my uni (BNU) in 2012, the day I graduated.

@Ashley Cook 😂 is that what you’re basing him being “quick tempered and downright arrogant” on? I don’t know anything about that to be honest, can only comment on how affable and good humoured he was with us, as he always came across on the radio.

@Ashley Cook well my cousin’s ex-wife’s dog claims that David Attenborough once spat at him.

There are some funny comedians in that room, but none of them made me laugh more than Terry did. Plus, none of them made me smile like Terry made me smile, or give me that feeling of joyous anticipation when he was about to speak.

@hexcane As in, your friend could have a really shit day, and act horribly, and you would judge them as a bad person? You wouldn't think, "ooh, i'll let him vent his frustration and deal with it because he's only like it due to such and such"? People seem to judge famous people solely on their minor bad moments and not their achievements, forgetting that they're normal people who actually have moods and feelings that can be damaged.
@EskimoAce13 жыл бұрын
@hexcane Oh come on, it's unfair to judge someone like that, no one's infallible when theyre in the spotlight, you can't expect every celebrity/person to be 100% gold-hearted, they shouldn't have to keep a persona on all the time. You may have caught him at difficult moments, as I'm sure every human being has had.

Hilarious! This was relatively recent but nowadays it’d be rejected by the woke brigade.
