Thanx for this little video, just one question : Does a pickup cover have any advantages on a 2 pickup jazzbass like this one, according to your experiences ?

Some would say it only has disadvantages 😉 I like the look and when slapping it keeps your forearm off the strings so you don’t mute them.

Hej Toby, thanks for the great video! As far as I understand from some other V3 videos, there is a slight neck dive issue. So I' m wondering if the new lighter tuners helped solving the issue. Thanks in advance🖖

@@saveyourmind Well the Schaller tuners are just a little bit lighter than the stock ones. I didn’t notice a particularly bad neck dive on my V3. On the lap every Jazz Bass has neck dive, especially if the body is rather light weight like the V3.

Hey Toby, great video! I recently picked up the 5 string version of the same V3 model and it sounds fantastic! Your video definitely gave me some good ideas to upgrade my own, so I was curious about the pickguard, where did you get it?

Thanks for watching! This is a Boston pickguard that I bought from thomann but I don’t think thomann has a 5 string version listed. I think Boston makes some though.

Ich konnte da nichts feststellen, habe aber auch keine Messungen oder so gemacht. Glaube aber auch nicht, dass das Gewicht der Tuner einen relevanten Einfluss auf das Sustain hat…

Do you notice a big difference in weight with the new electric bass tuners? Could you upload another video showing how it sounds now? thanks for the videos friend

You‘re welcome! Since it’s just 8 grams difference per tuner you don’t really feel a difference in weight. I‘ll try and do a short video… stay tuned!

The tuners may be nice but without the template they would be difficult to install properly. So I won't be buying them.
