You are welcome! Sadly, our Siren will be for sale soon! We ordered a custom made 19 footer from a small shipyard in France. Stay tune...

@@siren17 I just joined your FB group. I'm looking for a S17 as an upgrade from my V&M Spindrift 13.5. Do you have an asking price yet? Thanks!

@@Alaneberhard Unfortunately, we sold our beloved Siren 17 in October. But great things are coming ... A slightly larger trailable at 19', with a much roomier cabin, powerful sailplan and great performances. Yet, as easy to trailer and beach with her fully retractable keel. Flow 19, custom built by Atelier Interface in France. archinavale.carbonmade.com/projects/6600079

Awesome video Thierry so if I understood you correctly you replaced the swing keel cable with Dyneema.
@siren173 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rolando. Yes, sorry for the poor audio... dyneema cable, much better than steel, doesn't rust and maintenance free. It also rolls in and out of the winch smoother.

@@siren17 Good day! Subscriber here. I bought a neglected Siren 17 and getting it back into shape for water. Can you share a link what to buy to replace the steel cable for the keel. Thank you.
@siren173 жыл бұрын
Hi @@volvosweden I did not use steel but instead, a synthetic Dyneema 1/8" line. You can find it in most well stocked sailboat supplies stores. Where are you located and how old is your Siren?

New sails?¿ Carbon fibers?¿? Nice! Please tell more about that improvement!!! I'm thinking about making new sails for next season and I'll appreciate your feedback. Your old sails looked in good shape, Is it worth?¿ I recently changed my keel cable for dyneema... I'm so happy too 'THX!!! Nice cruise!!!!!!!!

Looks like carbon thread but it's not, just some poor sailor fancy nylon... You are right, my stock sails where in perfect condition but I wanted to get better performance and order a full set of new sails (main, 130 jib, 150 jib and storm jib) from Precision Sais. I can definitely see some improvements and the sails hold their shape better under duress. The main is a bit of a handful and not easy to wrap on the boom like the old one so, I just completely remove it after sailing, roll it and store it in the boat.
