HopeCvon If I remember it right, Harpies were called Sirens at first. But because those Sirens/Harpies lived on cliffs & were luring boats & ships towards those cliffs with their singing. So the ships would crush into it & they could easily get the sailsmens body to eat later, people ended up seeing them as an other form of mermaids. Or something along those lines. It's very long time ago, since I have read about that.

I love the freeform mermaid design, they made them so beautifully creepy! I really enjoy more fishy mermaid concepts and they hit the nail on the head with mixing humanoid and fish features in my opinion🧜🏼‍♀️

In Greek mythology,The Siren is half bird half woman. However, in Roman mythology, They are half fish half woman. Most of Americas society is Roman so, In conclusion, Sirens are both half fish,and half bird Based on which myth you go by. And please no hate. Hey Lex, my name is Morgan and I have been watching your videos for weeks now an i really like what you do, you've really inspired me as a artist myself, I do a lot of drawing and painting... but over the last year or two my depression has really hit me, I can't sit down and draw like I use to or do any cool stuff like I use to do, or if I do draw something and I finish it I look at it and find every mistake and a suddenly it's not as good as i originally thought it was. But watching your videos really help, you are so good at what you do and I love how your funny. When I get into a state where I'm basically on the verge of crying and I'm really sad I always come and watch one of your videos and it always makes my day. The other day I was finally able to draw my very first drawing in months that I was actually proud of I didn't think about the mistakes and I was just so proud of how it turned out.
