Fun fact: Sirens originally, in Greek mythology, were half bird half women, they were naturally evil and they used to live near seas and they killed sailors and navigators with their voices, mermaids were half fish and half women and they used to hypnotize sailors with their voices, too, but they weren't initially bad. Manatees.. not even kidding. There's evidence that sailors of the past truly thought manatees were half woman, half fish. Namely because they have female genitalia that looks ridiculously close to humans. Pretty gross.. but if you're miles away from any actual human female contact for months at a time.. yeah. Besides that, scientists have made CG renditions of what actual mermaids would have to look like in order to survive in reality. One they would have to be fat, to insulate from the cold temperatures, especially being down low enough to not get noticed so often. Two, they wouldn't need hair, it would just get in the way of swimming and tangle around things.. if they did have hair it would fall out anyways due to rot or corrosion. Three, they wouldn't be peachy-skinned.. or likely have any sort of breasts that we would consider attractive. They also would likely have slits instead of human noses.. for obvious reasons.. So yeah, manatees.

I just finished the series from season 1 to season 3 finale. I love it. The story, they graphics, the actors, 100 percent great. This is like the mature-horror drama version of Autralia's H2O: Just Add Water.
