I just checked and Siri works on my iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1.4! Edit: I also tried Siri out on a 4S running iOS 5.1.1 and it worked too!

Apple seems todo some weird server spring cleaning every once in a while that randomly brings ancient certificates and API's back up every once in a while. Remember when literally every iOS version ever was signed once due to a server error at Apple? Yeah... It happens.

All the animations and design considerations are so much more satisfying and meaningful. You close the app or Siri and it really feels like it goes out of your way and shuts down. The timer popping in looks so polished.. like a little emblem. And there’s a weightiness to everything because of the tasteful use of shadows

I think the reason why Siri is working on iOS 6 again is because Apple is using and recovering older files from every version of Siri since iOS 18 is rumored to be a massive upgrade for Siri, with Siri being AI-based

In March 2021 my Mom found my old iPod Touch fourth generation in her closet, because I gave it to her when I got my first iPhone, which was the iPhone 5S. I was able to restore that iPod, sign into the app store (it was a real hassle with two factor authentication) and put some of my favorite apps back on it. And, those apps still work! Also, I was able to sign into the iTunes store and put some music on it. Perhaps Apple is messing with iOS 6 files, trying to get some inspiration for new features in upcoming iOS versions. Oh, and I almost forgot. My fourth generation iPod runs iOS 6.1.6.
