I just love the relationship between Antea and Red. I really appreciate the chemistry they have with each other, and how even though Antea is dead, things feel practically the same as in the beginning when she was alive. Also their banter is pretty fun, it reminds me a bit of Chili and Bandit from Bluey.

For the Scepter and the Scourge Summoning and the Void enemies they have weaknesses that are shown at the top right of the screen. Also, if there is a green enemy, they buff the other enemies to where your attacks dont do much. Just thought this will help you because it definitely did for me, happy banishing!

Syphilis is a bacterial infection so it wasn't treatable until the 1900s. Mercury was used as a treatment for syphilis up until the early 1900s. Mercury is technically an antibiotic. If taken early enough in the disease it's actually possible to fight the illness while only suffering mild poisoning. Dying of Mercury poisoning was actually fairly common in later stages. He was kinda screwed, with the best doctors he'd still likely have died of Mercury poisoning. Late stage syphilis can effect the brain and cause madness, but so does chronic mercury poisoning. Just look up mad hatter disease. So while you might say he was knowing infecting others, he also wouldn't be charged because he wasn't in his right mind.
@Palitato6 ай бұрын
I think you made the right choice with Gauffrey. His attitude was clearly one of a man who slept around and didn't care that he was essentially murdering other people. In some cases, intervention must be taken to prevent someone from infecting others through their ignorance or refusal to admit the problem. Typhoid Mary was that way. She was a carrier and refused to believe it. She continued taking jobs where she dealt with families and the prep of their food. She killed SO many families before she was finally arrested and sentenced to live in total isolation on an island, because she refused to admit she was a carrier of such a deadly disease and take the appropriate precautions. The doctor was protecting every other woman in the village, and preventing an outbreak of a (at the time) deadly, horrific disease. The man was dying anyway. She just helped him along a little faster to keep him from infecting and killing who knows how many others.

PIECES OF EIGHT, Spanish silver coins of eight reals (eight bits), first authorized in 1497. Also known as pesos and Spanish dollars, they were minted in enormous quantities and soon became recognized as a reliable medium of exchange in the European colonies of North America. Subsidiary coins-four reals (half dollar, four bits) and two reals (quarter dollar, two bits)-were also minted. In 1728, Spain began coinage of the milled dollar to replace the piece of eight. The Coinage Act of 1792 made the dollar the new nation's official currency and fixed it at approximately the same weight of silver as the Spanish peso. 😸

Btw, I think Antea's damage is really low in that void breach challenge, because the buff is relating to the rifle, soo you need to adapt your playstyle depending on the buff. Other types of damage don't work as well. Additionally, the fight on the beach with the rage, the rifle did crazy damage at the start because the buff was 'more damage when Red is at full health'. Buffs are shown on the right middle side of the screen, in case you miss them :))
@k-lingon-berry6 ай бұрын
Yay,more Banishers! Gosh, this game is just so gorgeous and that view change at 1:20 really shows that the devs utilised the living world/ghost world thing well. So cool. 😍 Now to watch more than two minutes and find out what more the story holds. 😉

During challenges, there's vital information on the right side of the screen. It comes very handy, hence the noticeable damage difference at 2:26:40, as Red lost some health.
@colony9resident7256 ай бұрын
A lot of the summoned enemy encounters have modifiers shown in the top right of the screen. Those battles are balanced around you using those. For example, in the void gauntlet there was a "more rifle and ensnare damage" mod which is why your rifle was doing crazy damage but everything else was next to useless.

Absolutely love this playthrough! The visuals in the game are breathtaking 😊. As far as the good doctor questline, penicillin wasn’t invented until the 1920's iirc... so syphilis was incurable at that time frame. Tip: Pay attention to battle modifier during encounters. You were saying that the gun was super strong while you were in the void area. The right side of the screen was telling you that the Gun had enhanced damage. That was why the sword and punch attacks were doing next to nothing to the ghosts. I bet you'd clear the void easy if you focus on using only the gun.
@nickgarcia12926 ай бұрын
There's a couple things I could mention that may help the combat grind. In the nest arenas there will be be variables listed on the right that will tell you which damage type does more damage, etc. More gun damage, more banish damage etc And with the shielded enemies they are receiving the shield from the glowy green armless guys who kind of stand away in the back. Taking them out first is best. Just a couple of things that the game doesn't make super obvious. Maybe you already know this idk.. I do wish there was a bit more enemy variation but between the 2 playable characters, the upgrades and the different attacks you really have to mix it up yourself to keep things feeling fresh. Idk I'm still enjoying this game and this playthrough has been great so far:) Also the void areas are great for leveling. They give +3 to all attributes and you get some nice loot after you travel back via treasure chests

Pieces of eight are the Spanish Dollar, they're made of silver. Apparently the value of the USD $1 was based off of the Spanish Dollar weight in silver. They're "pieces of eight" b/c eight of them make up a Spanish reale. you can't physically break them apart to make change lol, it's like money today, smaller coins add up to make larger bills, etc.

"She has no trouble stepping foot on it?" Yeah, it is weird that the beacons and beacons have an impact on Au Saul's army but Antea is fine. You had to take mercury, which could lead to symptoms just as bad or worse than the syphilis itself and there was a good chance you'd die anyway of mercury poisoning. So he could have died of the mercury even if the doctor didn't... help him along.

Glad you banished the guy with syphilis, considering it literally made people's faces rot away before they had adequate treatment for it. It wasn't uncommon for people to lose their nose. They did have what they thought were cures (like for an afflicted man to sleep with a virgin), but these things, obviously, did not work. Did he have a right to be angry that he was murdered? Yes. But i wouldn't say that you were overly harsh since he was knowingly passing a disease that would rot away its sufferers to his victims.
