I honestly feel like Remus faced the most, he had the painful experience of becoming a werewolf and unintentionally risking people he loved, he faced the betrayal by wormtail, then saw his best friend die, then saw his other best friend die while he couldn't even mourn properly because he had to be strong for harry and fight the death Eaters, then he was worried about tonks and their child teddy, then he fought his last battle and died with this wife....it's honestly one of the best characters in HP and totally underappreciated

Then he was accused of killing a man who he thought was his friend and had to be punished in Azkaban for something he didnt do. Then when he finally got a chance of a free life he lost it, trying to help Remus. Then he had to stay cooped up in a house while watching everyone fight. And he didnt get to look after Harry like he wanted to. Then after all of it he ended up being killed by his own cousin. He had such a hard life.

I kinda like that Lupin just keeps looking at him (when he dies), as if trying to get as much of him as he can, in case he doesn't see him again in a long time. As a kid I never understood why he just stood there but now I can see he was containing all his pain while absorving all he could from him AND being there for Harry (because he knew he'd need to be). I still can't forgive them for not releasing Daniel's scream. It's one of his best acting scenes, I love it.

My headcanon is that Sirius is gay and Remus is bi because I ship Wolfstar and Remadora, so Padfoot and Moony had a high school romance and after Sirius escaped from Azkaban they had an extra two years together, both in hiding, Sirius because of the obvious „Wanted Criminal“ situation and Remus because word had spread that he was a werewolf. Then Padfoot is killed mercilessly by his own cousin (😭) and Moony seeks consolation from that new recruit of the Order, a Metamorphmagus called Nymphadora Tonks who prefers her surname only. They fall in love, even though Remus thought never to find love again after his one and only Sirius Black passed away. It‘s a beautiful and tragic love story, but they are all reunited in heaven (yeah the only thing I don‘t know how to solve is that when Remus and Tonks die, Sirius is waiting in heaven and suddenly there‘s this love triangle between the three of them because Moony loves Padfoot but he also loves Tonks so yeah the only solution there is a threesome 😂😅)

I love how the characters chosen from these specific movies reflected on their social class. Sirius belonged to the black family and was related to the lestrange family so he was wealthy but Remus was stuck in poverty, at least after Lily and James died, he was working job to job so people wouldnt catch onto his werewolf cycle.

As a child on my 5th Book & Movie, I naturally shipped them, not because they had no partners to find or others were not good enough for them. They're simply a natural fit for each other. Sirius the fierce protector, Lupin the heart and soul, which grounds the pair. I love the two actors' off screen bromance too. The shared looks, the body languages gravitating to one another. Their bond, however affectionate or intimate, it was genuine and unforced by the writer, actors, filmmakers and most importantly by us the audience (readers or watchers). We instantly accepted them. These characters' flaws, attributes, suffering (Sirius' deep depression after Azkaban and force to live in the home of his childhood horrors, Lupin being ostracized and prejudiced therefore rendering him with beliefs that even the love from Tonks, he did not deserve.), stayed with me since I completed the books & movie series.
