Hello, I’m Ken Kataoka. It has been a year since I last uploaded a video. To those of you who have been looking forward to my videos during this time, I sincerely apologize. Until now, all of my videos have been entirely filmed and edited by my brother. Unfortunately, he fell ill and was unable to handle filming or editing for quite some time. For me, entrusting the video production to anyone else was never an option, which resulted in keeping you all waiting for such a long time. I am truly sorry for this. Thankfully, my brother has now fully recovered, and we were able to create this video together once again. I would be so grateful if you could continue to support us in the future. 初めて動画拝見しました。 作業の音からもひたむきに靴づくりに向き合われている様子が伝わってくる。 背景の音楽は実にマッチしている。。。 それにしても、こんな風にパーフォレーションの穴って開けられるんですね！ 手作業なのに物凄く均等にして均一。 ヒールを作る作業とか、履いてしまえば傷がつくソールの作り具合とか、全ての工程がありきたりな言葉だけど美しい。そして無駄がなく洗練されている。 ありがとうございました。

You don't owe us here anything. Your videos are so soothing and calming. We should be grateful you keep making them. That being said, I'm looking forward to the new videos. There are many shoe making videos out there, but yours are truly special. Almost as if they're about so much more than just making a fine pair of shoes. If possible, if it's not much more work, could you make them a bit longer with more details? I've learned so much about how shoes are made from your videos, and I personally enjoy all the details of the process.

I love your videos! Footwear has always been a passion for me, I remember when I was young I use to always draw designs of shoes, I always though men's shoes were boring back in those days. Women always had fancier, more interesting looking shoes, and I always wanted to change that. I'm trying to learn to make shoes - starting very basic with glues and things - but someday I'd like to be this good. The flattening of stitches and edges with the hammer is something I can incorporate now, even if I'm not using nails. Yes, handmade is more expensive, but look at the investment of the artisan that makes your janky feet look so good.
