We had 2006 Scorpio M2Di and kept it for 13 years. Not even a single problem occurred in our ownership. Just regular service and nothing else. We used it for 1,96,000 km before selling it for 3 lakhs. The person we sold it to used the car for 2 years and sold it for the same 3 lakh price to someone else. I still miss this car. New Scorpio and the current generation will be sold together. Mahindra will not discontinue current generation atleast for now.

I bought a Scorpio in 2011 and right from day one till date (its been 11 years) I can't help falling in love with its looks each time I see it, specially when we go out to the woods or off-roading. However, there are many shortcomings in it. The car (I like to call it the beast) had power window issues right from day 15, and till date they didn't get fully resolved, so much so that I've got used to driving it without the windows down. A few other things that troubled me are lack of durability of internal parts. The power window button broke up on its own, the gear knob did the same, the glove box also broke on its own. Of course the seats are very uncomfortable left right and centre. Despite the many shortcomings and much discomfort, I have full faith that I can take it anywhere and drive it anywhere. The service centres of Mahindra can be bad and good too (depending from place to place) but the management at Scorpio does help you if you manage to reach them. I had an experience where Mr Mahindra himself helped me just because of a tweet from me!!! (Will talk about it some other time) Overall, one of the best looking vehicles on the roads of India 🇮🇳 (my fav) and very reliable. Looking forward to never selling the one I have, and also to own the next generation Scorpio. 🙏🏽

Hi. I want to purchase a petrol car in delhi. I want to keep it for almost 15 years. My monthly run is around 350km out of it 80% is on highway. My budget is around 8 lakhs. I want touchscreen infotainment and reverse parking camera pre installed so that i don't have to do any aftermarket upgradations. I owned santro gls petrol and was very happy with that but it's registration is almost getting over in delhi. Can you suggest me a good car. I am not having much knowledge of automobile companies. Should I go for ignis, tigor, tiago, punch or any other suggestion that you can give. I am little bit tilted towards punch but don't know whether tata cars can serve for 15 long years. This also making me confused. Thank you.

Go for punch adventure rythm you can easily clock 1-1.5lakh with regular service.

I think you should go for Tata Tiago/Tigor both the cars are very good and they also comes with factory fitted cng and both cars are 4star global NCAP rated in safety. Tata cars are far better than Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai cars. One thing I would like to say that We all should support our Indian brand Tata and Mahindra.
