If it isn't hurting my child or illegal and they like it...I don't care if I do not...I am not going to the program. There have been things I signed my daughter up for that I thought were not good but she said she was having a blast...My son the same thing...He wanted to do wrestling...He was always in the 95% rating for size so he had a decent build for it. We went to the competitions and he wold usually lose but he had this big smile on his face even when he lost...So we kept going...It was also in soccer he was the biggest kid on the team and he had a strong leg...He played defense and when he kicked the ball to the other side of the field if someone tried to block it it would knock them off their feet or double them over...Soon you could see kids running for the ball and when he got it the other team would scatter...I tried to talk him into going into offense because the goalie may get out of the way also...He didn't want to. He was having fun on defense...

This was why I couldn't do cheerleading in high school. My family was poor and couldn't afford the shoes they wanted everyone to wear. I couldn't afford for my kids to do sports at school either. The cost of these things have gotten out of control. I feel bad for the little girl.

But you did the right thing by not pretending to your children that they can get involved with sports and then pull them out at a later time, after they have got to really enjoy it. It was the same for my children, don’t give false hope, just be honest
