Hollywood Shuffle is my favorite movie of ALL TIMES! I must've watched it EVERY SINGLE day (or at least every other day) during the summer of '87! It still makes me laugh every single time! I LOVE it!

The people that are saying that Ebert didn’t like it or was dead wrong do y’all realize that he did recommend the film?
@williamshaw90475 жыл бұрын
Best part of Hollywood Shuffle is when he goes in for the casting call for an Eddie Murphy type and when he tries to explain to them that he doesn't want to imitate anyone, he begins to involuntarily mimic Eddie's laugh and speech.

One of the best and important movies of all time. Robert Townsend using old film stock and credit cards to get this movie made. It started a lot of careers like the Wayans family.

Johnny, why you be stranded me? I ain't be got no weapon!. ...I have not seen this movie again since the late 80's and I still laugh at that line and all the potential actors trying out for the part is permanently ingrained in my mind. Very funny. Alas, Meteor Man.

1. It is a bad clip and 2. probably much to Siskel's surprise Robert Townsend is a force to be reckoned with!
@lynneperkins4949 жыл бұрын
thebabycakes71, I think it's just old videotape deteriorating. Ebert moved his face to his right, and the skin cancer-y look went away. I just think he had jowls with shadows in them. Old videotape is even worse than old film sometimes.
@lynneperkins4949 жыл бұрын
As usual, the "fat guy" didn't get it. Ebert panned things that shocked me, and praised films that didn't deserve it. Nine times out of ten, I agreed with Siskel, even many decades ago.

Is it me?..or has anyone else notice the changes on Roger Ebert's face? Why is it ONLY on him and nowhere else..except..Gene Siskel. He too had a sus looking spot. But Roger's face is what I've seen reported as "shapeshifting". Is this some sort of 'compression' and if so, why only on his exposed face.
