Roger's thoughts on how In The Company of Men rings true to the emotional deception or cruelty we have all either done or been subjected to in the course of our lives, has definitely made me want to give it a rewatch.

Eckhart was really chilling in it. We actually watched this in one of my psychology classes on psychopathy. The teacher /professor said that his character was a psychopath .

Did not expect them to get a lil heated on Good Burger. That was awesome.

After seeing In The Company of Men for the first time I made a vow to myself never to watch it again. Not because I think it’s a bad movie not in the slightest it’s fantastic but because of how much it affected me on an emotional level. It is so gut wrenching and unsettling what they do to this woman that I was left completely devastated just like the woman was. I watched it in 1998 which was over 25 years ago and I haven’t watched it since that is how much of an impact that movie had on me.

I give Roger props for trying to stick up for Good Burger and saying that it may work for its intended audience and that the leads weren't completely braindead. If he truly found it problematic for family or kid audiences, he would have tore it a new one, like he did with the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

when they disagree on a kids movie its some of the funniest bits. this one is no different. "i thought it was made for their college professor fathers and mothers?" hahahaha

“Air Force One” (1997) Review: 0:53 Recap: 18:59

amazing the amount of die hard rip offs: air force one, passenger 57, sudden death, under siege, etc
@ricardocantoral7672 Жыл бұрын
Sudden Death was actually a parody before it became a straight action thriller.

I was never a big fan of Air Force One.... I liked of course "Die Hard" and "Under Siege" better.... I thought Glen Close was annoying....

I liked Air Force One a lot, but agree that Close was very annoying.

i have never seen ANY Good Burger, but obviously it is what its audience likes and expects. it was definitely made for the fans of the show and i assume it was just as good as the show so how do you even review it. you essentially have to review the whole show in order to review the film so all you can really say is fans of the property will probably like it, if you are someone that has never watched the show then you probably wont get it at all. you sort of cant say god or bad though. this is one of the few episodes i specifically remember actually watching when it aired because i remember the review of "In The Company Of Men" and so i watched it and it was probably good but i just disliked the character so much i couldn't get into it. i also agree that i dont and havent hung around guys that talk that way about women, i have certainly seen and heard it but its tacky and classless and i was more picky about who i hung out with, im rather anti social in the first place. "Air Force One" is actually one of the rare films i seen in the theatre when it made it to the local dollar theatre. i remember it being a completely fine stereotypical action film, nothing new nothing great but perfectly entertaining to kill some time.

I remember being in the 5th grade when Air Force one came out, and even when though it was rated R, everyone seemed to have seen it. All of us kids were reenacting the "Get Off My Plan" to other kids on the slide. Good times.

Roger claimed that Dexter and Ed from "Good Burger" are pretty bright kids because they outsmarted some other buffoons and then saved Good Burger. As if it's actually an intelligent storyline.

I LOVED this show- thank you so much for posting these. Call me weird, but I think I may have/had a bit of a crush on Gene. May they both rest in peace.....do you think they are watching movies together in that big theater in the sky?
@mixedmattaphors9 ай бұрын
The right answer to Siskel's final Good Burger retort was that Ebert judges a movie by what it's going for, not by whether he likes it. Or, at least, on the latter point, not by whether it is particularly appealing, for him.

Star Wars came out on my 13th birthday and from moment on Harrison Ford was my Elvis. I went to everyone of his movies opening night from 1977- 2008. For me Air Force One was the last great movie Harrison Ford made, I love Air Force . I like their criticism of Air Force One because they love Harrison Ford and think that he should only be doing A+ material. Wendy Crewson who plays the President's wife said once a Harrison Ford movie went on her resume she never stopped getting acting jobs.

I think the last great movie he did was The Fugitive.
