Incredible voice, charming smile, beautiful soul, infectious laughter, expressive eyes, good manners, amazing sense of humour.. I like you, Sissel!)

I think that her voice and singing ability is only one part of the IMMENSE "package of Talent" that God bestowed upon her. There is her ethereal beauty that grows more captivating with age - her mesmerizing smile and eyes - the warmth, love, joy and energy that radiates from her - her sense of humor and her intoxicating laugh - and her modesty and humility. Sissel stated in an interview that she realizes that her talent was a GREAT gift from God to be treasured and used wisely. Christians talk much about "humility" and how important it is. However, when you have a talent and gifting as great as that which Sissel does, to STILL be able to be truly humble is also a great gift INDEED !! As so-o-o-o many have commented on her videos - when God brought a "Sissel" into this world, it was truly one of His most beautiful, unique, and precious creations !! 🥰🥰🥰

When Sissel covers "popular" contemporary songs that everybody else is singing she is a good singer. When she sings more obscure pieces and classical pieces, including her religious pieces, she is on a different planet from everyone else out there. She is so powerful, so absolutely clear with her notes, "haunting" comes to mind, unbelievable talent! She is so smooth. Her performances with the LDS Tabernacle Choir are what I imagine angels would sound like ...

Her instinct to not cave and become an "American product" (be put in a box as she describes) was wisdom held by so few. She is one impressive woman. We are so lucky to be on the receiving end of her gifts.....

Siisel didn't allow herself to be sucked into the "commercial machine" that's why she will always remain a special gem.

18458C,, Slightly wrong there mate, you won't get a more Commercial song than "My Heart will go on" (Titanic) She did all the oohs/Aaaahs for the first 10 mins of the song...............You just have to get a few facts right before you put things on YT

I love how she had the healthy spirit of discernment at such a young age to tell the producer in LA her expression of her reservations because she felt something wasn't quite right and doesn't feel right with the producer's push to rush her to celebrity status and stardom. Sissel is truly one of a kind.

How could anyone not be familiar with her incredible voice from Lillehammer? It was the most memorable recollection from those Olympic games. You hear her voice for an instant and remember forever! The same Olympics when she sang as a teenager the opening song in 1984, and Torvill and Dean won Gold for Britain ice dancing to Bolero. Her voice rocked my world at that opening, without knowing her name, wanted to find her and hear her sing. She is incredible. Her version of Titanic is incredible and there is nothing she can't do vocally!

So glad that you resisted the American way....which would have taken the beauty in your ability away and trashed it. Thank you for having the insight to resist this pressure and keeping the beauty of your voice and keeping true to yourself. It is a rarity anymore. I am in love with your sounds....thank god, that you can continue gracing the world with your voice well into your senior years. Just keep doing it.

Alex, a truer word has not been spoken. LIKE ANY GREAT ARTIST, WHO IS ABOUT TO PAINT A PICTURE THEY HAVE A GREAT PRESENCE OF MIND TO CREATE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING THE ARTIST GENTLY CARESSES THE CANVAS LIKE ITS A LOVER WITH THE GENTLENESSS OF A SNOWFLAKE LANDING ON A LEAF SISSEL DOES THE SAME SHE HAS THE BEAUTY TO DRAW YOU IN LIKE A MOTH TO A LAMP AND THEN SHE CAPTIVATES HER AUDIENCE WITH A VOICE THAT CAN MELT THEIR HEARTS AND MAKE THEM SHED TEARS OF HAPPINESS ONLY SOMEONE WHO HAS THIS EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY OF COMMUNICATION CAN HOPE TO ACHIEVE THIS AND OUR NORWEGIAN BEAUTY HAS CERTAINLY GOT THAT.🌹 Stan

@leecowell8165 Жыл бұрын
Yeah me either and I'm quite emotional myself at least whenever I hear her she has such a beautiful voice and presentation. Well she lost it AFTER singing Slow Down with the Mormon Tabernacle. yeah she lost it I knew someone that was there & they had binoculars on her during almost a 10 MINUTE standing ovation. They love her there, that's for sure. I've been listening to her for over 30 years and tell you what she has not lost a single step.

@leecowell8165 Жыл бұрын
well at least you found her. I was fortunate enough to find her early in her career because I didn't remain in the states. its difficult to find such a humble person though. I found her simply by accident even before the advent of YT. I had a good friend that traveled a lot and he heard her while in Bergen in the late 80's. Bergen is one of the main cities in Norway near the SW coast. Just pure chance he wasn't even Norwegian. He loved Bergen & its people because it had a relatively mild climate for being at 60 degrees North.

two possibilities. we can save money and go to Norway and take a walk in the hills near Bergen so we can see why Sissel didn't get tainted. Time it well, so you can see a concert live . or we can wait till She possibly goes on tour more than just Utah. with the Mormons . Any way I respect , and admire Sissel for being steadfast and with out major compromise . How many people who gained stardom only to lose their souls along the way .
