My beloved grandmother passed away about one month ago. Sissel's version of this song was played at her funeral, over a slideshow of photographs of her wonderful life, all 92 years of it. And I couldn't hold my tears back.

@georgie1 I listened to the original by 10cc and the covers by a-ha and asia. None of them has even remotely the same emotional impact as Sissel's. In 58 years, she's the only singer I've ever found who can bring me to tears ... and she does it often.

Several of the videos of Sissel show her wearing an unusual choker ; it appears to be made of small water smoothed stones jumbled together . So Norwegian, reminiscient of the fast flowing streams amongst her mountains; and very like my own land of New Zealand.

I want to remove my baggy eyes. I got some advice to use black tea bags so dim water in the fridge then to place of the eyes for 10 minutes and I will remove tired eyes because of my operation. It’s left me looking a bit ragged I can’t come to Norway looking like this if you know any better or it is, please let me know. Well, Wiki says otherwise: "One of Gouldman's songs, "Ready To Go Home", was written after the death of his father, Hyme Gouldman, in 1991. Gouldman re-recorded the song for his 2000 album, And Another Thing..., when he observed in the liner notes: "It reflects my feelings at the time. I suppose I was trying to put a positive slant on his passing, remembering all the things we had done together and his artistic legacy to me.""

We can be ready to go home, because Jesus made us capable to go home, with his precious blood covering our souls to enter Paradise and the first resurrection to heaven. I’m ready to begin I‘m ready to receive forgiveness for my sins. You should be ready to confess and repent your sins much earlier not lately when you laying on your deathbed. Who knows if god is gracefully enough to soften up your heart and clear your mind to pray in faith to Jesus the Lord the only Way to God the father. The lyrics are enticing to hear but not many make it to heaven lately on their deathbed for the most it’s already too late, they don’t even make to the deathbed and die suddenly unforgiven in their Sins.

ValdiviaRicardo Asia’s version was not the original it was also a cover. 10 CC did the original. It is just a beautiful song no matter who sings it.
