We need a modern version of this. So many relational themes apply today. It is such a good novel and amazing film! so underrated imo

This movie broke me, it’s just very heartbreaking like you can’t fix this no more, they portrayed relationships really well

I also wondered, how on Earth was such a young couple able to afford such a huge house. Well, the answer is very simple - they just couldn't shoot in a smaller house. Of course, both Kate and Leo considered it a "really small house".

I became a fan of the Mendes/Newman collaboration from "Road to Perdition" (2001) and knew I was going to see this movie when the trailer came out. Yes, the acting from all the leads dances on edge of perfection, don't get me wrong. Mendes brings out that type of performance in all the movies he directs, just ask Daniel Craig. But the cinematography, coupled with score is on another level. Thomas Newman has been my favorite composer for two decades now, and the fact he doesn't have a half-dozen Oscars to show for his movie compositions from the last 25 years is beyond criminal. The soundtracks of "Meet Joe Black", "Perdition", and this movie transcend time. 💯

Unless I'm forgetting something from the movie, I believe those are deleted scenes that are being shown with April mowing the lawn and Frank coming out onto the lawn in his pajamas. I'd have to scan back through the movie to see, because I don't remember those scenes.

This film, is NO (Titantic.) This is an odd duck movie. The acting, of course, was excellent with performances from Dicaprio and Winslet -- & Kathy Bates -- to which they all played in the (The Titantic.) No one can forget that film, of course.

In this part the production complain about how small the house is compared to Titanic.

I wish Kate and Sam didn't divorce. They were such a glamorous couple, the classic english director and the worldly actress. They're relationship was such a throwback to old hollywood.
