Idc how many times I watch this movie, this scene brings tears to my eyes. Love it.
I'm a church music director; when I first saw this performance back in the 90's, I was blown away. A wonderful interpretation of this Marian hymn. There is quite a bit of published church choral music that employs clapping, tambourine, and other percussion instruments that is always fun for a choir to do.

I can't stop listening to this VERY music, the voice are original also you will fill the impact of the music inside your soul. Who else had the same feeling.
I went to an all-girls catholic school until I was in 5th grade. We would have a mass every friday morning and I remember I once asked one of the nuns why we sang during mass. She told me that our prayers carry stronger through song because music is filled with love, no matter the language. She said God and all his angels love to hear music because its proof that there is love and happiness among us. She also said that it doesn’t hurt that chapels have great acoustics 🤣 I still remember that to this day and I’m already in my twenties. Whenever I’m feeling sad or really lonely I pick one of my favorite songs and sing it in my room or in my car back home from work and idk, if just lifts me up. Maybe it’s God, maybe it’s something else. But I like to think that nun, and this movie, were unto something.

Tiffany Morgan My mom always said, God doesn’t what you look like, what you are wearing, if you are there, he is happy! @@faithfulforever6331 That reminds me of a part of a documentary from History Channel on the Seven Deadly Sins that was about gluttony, and it brought up the fact that the itinerant monks who use to serve as lay clergy were dependent on the kindness ofstrangers for their daily bread. Often times after a Mass, he would be invited over to a parishoner's home for supper. As with Muslim society, to refuse was not only seen as a personal slight, it was seen as spitting in the face of God Himself, because He had willed that you go to bed with a full stomach, a reward for your faithfulness. When the lady of the house served the meal, and Grace having been said, the monk would wait until nobody was looking, and he would sprinkle ash from a fire onto his food so that even though he did eat what was offered, the distaste of ashes would keep him from gluttony...so that he ate to live, and not live to eat.

Revered Mother isn't just some villain looking to stop the fun, she's genuinely happy Dolores could fix the choir, that was her goal in putting them together.
