I met Sister Carol, 1981, in New York, and she is still looking as radiant and beautiful today. Nuff love and respect for Sister Carol, she also played a role in the movie Wild Thing, very down to earth and real. She is one of the pioneer female djs.

Respect to Sister Carol. Respect to the great Phillip Smart. Aka Prince Phillip. He was a selector along with the great Augustus Pablo. Phillip Smart was a student of King Tubbys & migrated to New York & built a studio recreating the authentic King Tubbys Sound. This is documented in an interview he did but I personally had the pleasure of knowing him. I used to play the records with him on his radio program at NYU. The Get Smart . The legendary HC&F studio. Some of The biggest hits in reggae came from here. Murderer, Trailer load a Gal,Ghetto Red Hot & more. This place put New York reggae artists on the map. Can’t forget Shaggy’s Achievements a few Gold plaques on t studio wall.. Respect Sister Carol for always keeping her music positive.. Teach Dem you need to find Beepa man and he can give you a good history of the studio because he was a musician there
