First off Beyonce the song was covered in 2000 by Destinys child however it wasn’t put out ! Secondly franky beverly is a family friend (she got his blessing) 3. She’s making him a very comfortable man right now 4. Y’all women love to hate on each other instead of lifting one another up ! The song was never meant to be a single it was to add to her homecoming documentary a documentary that sheds amazing light on HBCUs and black history if you also notice she covered the black national anthem as well or should she not sing that either 🤦🏽‍♂️ ?? A lot of kids don’t know the black national anthem , a lot of people (kids) didn’t know before I let you go , but she reintroduced what was such a big staple in the black community so before you sit in judgement with these off brand talk show host know what your speaking on educate yourself first before forming such an opinion 🤔❤️

I disagree with what Angie Stone said about it not being fair. Because, what was the point of the veteran artist going through all of the things that they went through? Was it actually to make the road easier to travel for the next generation or was it just to take your time and build your own platform? Sometimes I feel like artists are bitter that the next generation has it easier when they should be acknowledging all of the hard work that they did to get us here in the first place! Do I feel like a lot of the younger artists need to be more respectful of the veteran generation yes, but I also feel like the veteran generation needs to be more embracing of the younger generation as well.
