Mya was always a mediocre singer. Especially in the time of Mary J Blige, Brandy, Monica, Mariah etc. Now there is a lot more discussion regarding colorism, I believe she had a great push forward due to her more racially ambiguous look which black people tend to elevate over there own phenotype smh.
