I'm from Atlanta all my life and I was at the very first Freaknik 1989 at Washington Park hosted by V103 and Ryan Cameron when it was just for the AU center, Clark, Morehouse, Morris Brown Atlanta University and Atlanta Junior College an Spelman. A Atlanta thing before it blew up before all the other colleges started hearing about it from out of town. it's never been a family affair, I was in my 2nd year of college at Clark doing that time and remember when the planning started. Back in the day it was ( 5 ) "Black Historical colleges" One BIG campus right there together, with 2 Football stadiums on that same campus everything was in walking distance.
