I find that if you wash the fish in hot water, it cooks the top part of the fish creating a thick skin which prevents the spices from penetrating fully, plus it makes it a little firm, rather than soft and tender.

If you use a food processor for onion it cuts half your time. Especially if your not browning onion. For curry it's perfect. X

Lovely vlog yet again! Anyways, in terms of buying shidol shutki, you guys should be able to buy it from most Bengali grocery stores in East London. You can call them up before and then collect it. I personally prefer to see it before buying cos I’m a shidol shutki fan too and am very particular about how they should look. 😅

You can buy the shutki from any bengali shops so just ask them because I got mines last from east London but you can also get it from Bradford, Leeds, Oldham & Manchester Your kala should no in Leeds & hope your mum can get it❤❤ The curries looks very tasty😋
