Seems like everyone is the asshole here tbh. Your wedding is about you yes first. But also the people who are the closest with you. Me the mom instead of trying to work something out and compromise between the two went full crazy mode. Sounds like a family with toxic dynamics that where never addressed that came to a head. Should she have invited her sister. That’s up to her but I personally think she should have talked to her directly before making any decisions. It’s when you don’t talk through issues you feel might come up and assume they will happen. That causes the person to feel targeted. That was the OP’s fault. If you really care about your sister you should have talked to her in person to find a solution instead of over text very rude bad from all people. No winners all losers.
